Alpinestars - Reflex Knee Guards
Being a cruiser type, I would have never chose to wear something like this. I was asked to give them a try. Now, I will only ride WITH these things on. It does not make any sense to do otherwise.

Performed well
I bought these for a 1600 mi off road trip I took on my Buell Ulysses. They are very soft on the inside and after they were adjusted to my riding position I hardly knew they were there. They have very soft snugging straps that hook with velcro. They seem to offer good protection in case of a spill but I didnt fall on my knees so I cant speak from experience. I used them with Moose Sahara pants and Draggin jeans camo from Australia. These tucked right into the top of my SIDI discovery boots and caused no problems there. They have small metal mesh breather holes and they seemed to help. I wasn’t too sweaty however even after 10 hrs on the bike (in Summer). They look like they will last. The straps love to get tangled and when you pull them apart it pulls the soft material off the straps. Seems like it would take awhile to ruin the strap that way though. They come with a mesh storage bag. Nice.

Awesome product for the price. I ride with confidence now. The added protection is what I’m looking for on my daily commute.

Great protective gear for under loose pants
I ordered these and I ended up returning them because they did not fit my skinny legs. They would be perfect for someone with thicker calves. The knee pad does not have a strap so I don’t think it’s a good idea to wear it without loose pants and I tried them with tight jeans and it took me 20 minutes to get them off!

great design
These have a great design, only an upper and lower calf strap. The knee cup is unstrapped, but held in position tight to the knee by your riding pants when the leg is bent. Is it the best possible? No, but it's perfect for me because I want knee protection without feeling like a transformer.

Good for what it is
The fit isn't exactly great they felt as if they would come off so I overlapped the straps and sewed them so they would fit tighter after that they didn't move much. I think they would take an impact well they completely cover the knee and most of the shin although I have boots that go up the shin and that helps keeping them in place as well. Don't notice any air circulation but never overly hot in them, also u have to wear these under some sort of pants because if you don't the knee part flaps up cause it’s not strapped to you only the shin guard is.

Good for the price
I ride in jeans, so wanted something for protection. These were priced right and I hope will provide the protection needed to keep my knees intact if I crash. I agree with others and think that there should be an extra strap above the knee, but these seem to fit tightly enough in my jeans that I think they will stay in place when needed. A little on the warm side and I have to put them on before my jeans, which makes them difficult to remove when I get to my destination. I also have very large legs, and the fit was no problem, with room to spare.

Alpinestars - Reflex Knee Guards
Overall I am happy with these knee guards. They fit well and don't cause any issues when worn under jeans. I have worn them for upwards of 3 hours at a time and never felt uncomfortable or overly hot. They fit inside my boots as well. For the money they are hard to beat. I agree with others that the velcro gets stuck to the other 'non-velcro' part of the strap and that this will lead to damage to that part but for the small price of these I could throw them away and get another pair if it ever became a problem and not swear it. Now that I have been riding with them for a while I can't imagine not wearing them. I feel a lot more protected. Who knows how they would do in a crash but I can say that having them on would be better than not. It's a good buy in my humble opinion.

Fits perfectly
Fit's good under jeans. For me, having boots on to keep it in place is all it takes, otherwise it slides down. I am 6', 155lb in case it helps you. Always ride protected and enjoy the twisties.

Meh...
These are pretty big for small legged guys. There is a lot of protection and they fit under my jeans very good! The vents on the front seem pointless, but for the price they are great!

Great protective gear that works
I've tried other gear that is uncomfortable or heavy to wear, this knee guard is quite comfy to wear and peace of mind knowing I’m being prepared for a fall [hopefully not] I’m just happy with another great product from motorcycle superstore. Thanks again. mike KTM 450 EXC

Knee Guards
I picked these up cuz I needed some protection for my legs. They fit well under most pants and fit into my Alpinestar boots fine. I would definitely recommend these if you are looking for some knee, and shin impact protection.

Does the job well, but...
I wear these under my Draggin Jeans. They're comfy, has some ventilation but not much, and honestly I forget I have them on until I get off the bike. My only gripe with these is the velcro...they're sized a bit big and the velcro grips the strap in places it shouldn't. Mine are already frayed and I'm afraid they're gonna just tear up over time. For what they are, they are wonderful.

Great price for the protection
Great price for the protection it offers. Only problem I have is with the straps. It's too long. My legs are a bit thin so the straps come around and the velcro hook attaches onto the strap itself damaging it. That's why it got a 4 for fit.

Very good protection.
Don't wait until you have an accident to buy protection. If you ride you need protection, period. This is a good alternative to riding pants. It will fit under most pants unless you wear really tight ones. Top portion articulates well with bent knees in the riding position. I wear them under my pants or jeans, they are comfortable enough. You may sweat a little in really hot weather. Like most the only complaint is about the Velcro. It is comfy but it gives a little too much and can let the whole thing slip a bit. They are sturdy and well made, you can always mod the Velcro with some of your own.

Great Price!
Can’t beat this protection for the price! Super comfortable, easy to throw on and take off... fits under my Shift Jeans, and stay in place even when riding in shorts. MS as usual great service.

Great Knee Guards
Knee guards stay in place, and fit great under my Icon Hooligan jeans. Also fit well under my A* SMX-5 boots. Don't get too hot, due to the venting. Hope I never have to find out if they work :) Once again, great service from MS!

Hope I never have to actually use them, but they seem great. Only complaint is that the velcro straps are a bit long.

reflex knee guards
I liked this so much I purchased a pair for my son. They are easy to put on and take off. They fit very well with two Velcro straps that go around your upper calf. I feel that for the 5 minutes it takes to put these on it is a no brainer for the safety they provide. I wear them under my baggy leg jeans and they are not noticeable even when walking around with them on.

Too Loose
I'm returning them because they are too loose and slip. The kneecap bit flops up because there's no strap there which may be more comfortable, but I don't see how the whole thing stays in position in a fall and that's the point.

Alpinestar Knee Guards
I love these knee guards. I am 6-2 and 190 and they fit me well and stay in position when riding. The two Velcro straps are very sturdy and should last a long time. The knee portion of the guard flexes easily to conform to any position, walking or when riding. I have walked around in them and they are comfortable and stay in position when secured properly. If you wear loose fitting jeans you can easily take them off when you are done riding. I highly recommend them.

Great protection for the price
Great knee guards, very strong and good quality. The only problem that I experienced is that they keep coming down my knee and I had to adjustments every time. But while I am on the bike they stay in position.

Basic protection at a good price
These guards are a good option to protect knees and shins if you don't want to spring for or wear pants with armor. They fit well under most jeans, (I typically wear relaxed or loose fit, your mileage may vary with slimmer cuts, but a good indicator is if you can slide your pant leg up to expose your knee, you shouldn't have any problem). They are not obvious if you wear them off of the bike, except for a bit of a bulge at your knee, but you'll probably feel like you're walking funny because of the way that the knee protector part moves away from your knee when you bend your leg.

Really Good for the Money
This is a relatively inexpensive pair of knee guards. For riding they are pretty good. The Velcro straps will slip when walking around, but stay in place when seated on a bike. I expect the straps will stretch out over a period of time, but they fit well, are vented, and provide great protection. Definitely a pair to buy if you are learning to ride, and may not wear them later.

Good bang for the buck
They are easily adjustable and fit under "relaxed fit" jeans just fine. If you tighten the top velcro strap tight, it won't slide down during the ride. They're great insurance in case I drop the bike. Haven't had to see how well they hold up, yet. Hope I don't have to.

Excellent Buy...
These are a good alternative to motorcycle pants...offering good knee and shin protection. My only draw back would be the velcro...not sure how long that will last doing and undoing them every day...but good price for a good product.

For less than 30 bucks you have some peace of mind. The knee cup part moves around some with nothing to hold it in place.

A good alternative if you like to ride with just jeans. The quality seems durable but I have no intention of testing it out. Hot and a little bulky but for the price, you can't beat it.

About as good as knee guards are gonna get...hot as hell with pants on but what do you expect...better than banged up knees.
