I guess I've had better luck with these. They are beefy guards with a lot of coverage. They cover well above the knee (mid thigh on me) and part way down my shin. They also have good side coverage around the knee. They are meant to fit the rider in riding position so they are not great to walk around in but feel great on the bike. Mine have held up well after three seasons of riding with them. My only complaint is when they do drop down on my leg they can dig in a bit.

These braces did not work for me. I wore them two days and went back to my light weight strap on guards. After repeated strap adjustments, I could not get them to fit so that they did not put pressure on my shins. I also had a problem with them getting "locked" after bringing my leg up to kick start the bike and the brace sliding past the stops and not allowing my leg to straighten.

I liked but had to return

I ordered these bc I was having problems finding knee guards that felt right but also fit my boots. These were awesome, light, good fit in my boot but bc they are a "one size fits all" my knee cap would slide thru the hole meant to support your knee and be rubbing on the plastic on the cup and the sides Wish they made them in a small, med, that may have solved the problem.

The lower hard plastic pushes into my shin. It's painfully uncomfortable.

I like these for protection but the fit is a problem for me. I find that they dig into my shin at the most distal end. I have tried a foam pad between the guard and my leg but it still ends up feeling like a lot of pressure is put right on my Tibia. I wear them inside my boot and I have adjusted my boot strap buckles as loose as they can to relieve some of the pressure. When something tends to hurt you or is uncomfortable you might not wear them.
