SixSixOne-MXE Knee/Shin Guards
These guards are easy to put on, protect the front of your knees and shins quite well but make no mistake . . . they will not provide the protection that you need in a crash. Only boots will provide lower-leg protection at the level you'll need when the bike ends up on top of you . . . don't ask HOW I know this. I'm purchasing boots before my next ride!

Love these!
I have always considered knee pads a necessary evil; they are always binding leaving the back of my knees sore, or they have too much pressure on my kneecap making it feel like I have been on my knees all day. These, however, are incredibly comfortable. The straps are around the shin area so there is no binding, there is no pressure on your kneecap and yet they stay in place providing excellent protection. In fact, I just went on a 7 day off-road trip and didn't have any complications with these
