Steve Toledo,  OR First tire on the KLR I did my shopping and found this a favorable tread pattern, so I purchased it. If you're going to put it on yourself, have a very strong friend with good tools to help. Once on, it has performed on the road well, as well as on the gravel. I have not yet gotten it into true dirt much, but it looks like it will work well. Now I need to get the matching front tire for it, as the stock KLR tires are not good at all off pavement.

Bill Kansas City,  KS My second mount! My first K270 lasted 5600 miles on my KLR650. The tire is squirmy in tight turns on pavement but that's the trade for having knobs that dig into the dirt in a turn. As long as Kenda makes it, I'm buying it!

dph ballston spa,  NY yea Sweetest tire, when new hooks up great off road with low pressure. Last for over 5,000 miles if you balance and use a bead lock. Highly recommended.

Zach Kelley Urbana,  IL Good tire Bought this as a 50/50 tire, and it works as a 50/50 tire. Holds up good to the pavement and you can run it down gravel and fire roads and such. Not much hookup in soft conditions and the tread pattern does not clear mud at all. Overall a good tire, especially for the money.

Greg R Sonoma,  CA This tire was very good for me ! I got this tire after spending way too many hours doing research for choices and performance for my KLR650 I had. I rode the bike 50 - 100 miles a day for work w/ mixed hwy/city riding. I never had a chance to ride in rain, but this tire was well balanced as mounted, no wobbles/shakes. Tread depth seemed deeper than most. This tire got some almost unbelievable ratings for mileage, but after having it for a few thousand myself, I think that it is a GREAT VALUE. The only thing that I would “warn” someone about, would be that at a common lean angle for mountain roads/half over, the transition from one row of knobs to the other took some getting used to as it made a slight wallow feel. At first I thought that the tire was not aired up enough, and then found that it was just tread design. I am a veteran sport bike rider, so dual sports are not my thing, and I was riding it more like a sport bike on the twisties, so maybe won't do it for all out there but the leaners :) Overall VERY happy with performance and value of this tire for my use.

Perry Sims Mt. Shasta,  CA A real 50/50 tire for this old grey beard On my heavy DR650 I have really learned to trust driving the front wheel into a dirt corner, I'm not as impressed with the noisiness of the rear on the pavement now that it has worn down a bit. I am really impressed with the durability. My riding buddies are all on their second set of tires since I put these on! All that for a hundred bucks! What's not to like?

Alex B San Ramon,  CA Lasted me 14000 miles! Most highway miles in CA on Suzuki DR650. On my second set now. They walk a bit under hard cornering, but predictably so. Quiet at highway speeds during their lifespan. Very usable in rain and pretty good in dirt. Very stiff to seat the bead.

Carter Roberts Jefferson City,  MO Kenda for an F800gs Not made in the stock size, but the 140/80 went on easily, fits well, and grips well in the dirt, but a little slick on pavement.

Mike Mentone,  CA Great Tire I have a 2007 KLR 650. This is my third tire and I love it. I tend to use the bike for what it is meant, off road, but I do go on the road every once in a while. This tire is very capable on almost any surface. I wear tires very fast, but what do you expect from a tire that is more for off road. I recommend this tire to anyone who does more off-roading than on road.

Andy W Depwe Lewisville,  TX Eh, not impressed On the dirt they were ok and I have absolutely no confidence in them on the street. They slip in the corners for sure. They are knobbies though. Not sure about wear yet, only have about 700 miles on them. I like the stock 08 KLR 650 Dunlop’s better.

Rick M Macedon,  NY Great tire....for the price I had 8500 miles on my bike when it was installed. I have 9800 now and have probably a good 500-700 mile left on it. 1000 more if I'm really easy. Overall, it's a great tire on the road. Better for off road though. It's quite slick in the corners on the highway. And the noise isn't as bad once it wears down more. The verdict is still out on weather or not I'd buy this tire again. I don't ride off road enough to justify the aggressive tread design. Anyway...Good tire!

kevin cadarette palmer lake,  CO kenda K270 on dr650 Last summer I ordered 2 pairs of the Kenda k270 tires for my wife's and my dr650's. The tires have proven to be a good compromise between the stock Bridgestone, and the Dunlop dot knobbies. They are a little looser on the road than the stock tires, with a little bit of noise and vibration, especially above 65 mph. But off road they are as good on the trails in Colorado as the Dunlop’s. We currently have put about 1000 miles on them, about 60 street, 40 trail, and my guess is that the back will go about 3k, and the front about 4k. These are a good tire for 2 lane blacktop at 55-65 mph, and trails in the desert and mountains. I have no idea how they would do in the mud, we don't get enough rain to have enough mud to tell. Motorcycle Superstore had very fast shipping, like 3 days from order, with regular shipping.

Greg Springfield,  MA Great Tire! (Rear only) I have had this tire on my DRZ400s for a whole year! It grips well off road (not as good as a real dirt tire of course) and it wears extremely slowly. It gets only a little bit noisy as it wears down, but it certainly is much better in this regard than most others. The rear gets an A+ from me. The front is another story. It is very "squirrely" on pavement and I often look at it to see if it is flat (it's not). It seems that the knobs are very soft and they flex around quite a bit, especially the side knobs.
