Douglas Santa Clara,  CA D606 Dual Sport Rear tire Great tire for 90% dirt, 10% street. Street riding is comfortable but, the knobs make a buzzing sound at highway speeds. I have about 300 miles on the set and the street miles are taking their toll. Probably won't last as long as an MT-21, but it hooks better in the dirt. These tires are mounted on a 2002 DRZ 400s

Todd Edgewater,  MD great tire I put the tire on my drz 400 and it is fun to ride off road now I can even pull wheelies on and off the road! It still handles well I even passed a few sport tour bikes going up to sky line drive. I put a Continental - TKC 80 on the front.

Gregory Stewart Schenectady,  NY hooks up great I have this on the back and a Pirelli Scorpion on the front and the difference between these and the "Deathwings" my DR650 SE came with is night and day. My local bike shop told me to buy it from here and not them when I told the mechanic how much they cost here. It's cheaper than even they can get them for.

Marc Dove Georgetown,  MA Great dual sport tire for the 70% off road rider If you ride a dual sport bike and spend 70% of your time off road this might be the perfect tire. I mounted the D606s on my 09 KLR 650 to ride mostly off road. They proved their worth riding through 2,700 miles of gravel, sand, slick clay and through rocky bottom stream crossings. They also lasted for another 1,300 miles of riding on wet and dry pavement. Before the tires flat spot they provide good feel and turn in while riding on the road. I wasn't crazy about how the front tire tracked on gravel roads but it never let me down. Yep, I'd buy em again!

jon finney bath,  NY Dunlop D606 Dual Sport Rear Tire Installed on 2004 XR650L with a D606 on the front they do well on the road & woods trails & seasonal roads, they are a little noisy, but I would expect that with a tire this aggressive. Also put one of these on my sons 1997 DR350 & will be putting a D606 when it's time for a tire on the front!

Matthew Asheville,  NC D606 Tires The stock tires on my wr250r were used up, so I bought a pair of these because of reviews from ADV and TT. They are good looking slightly taller tires that were kind of hard to put on because of being so firm. They aren't too bad on the road, but do make considerably more noise. Next time, I think I will use a 606 rear and a stock Trailwing up front. Price was great on the pair...shipping and everything for around $140.

Ian Roswell,  NM D606 Pretty pleased so far but only had the tire about a month. Put it on XR650L and works great off road, used mainly on rocky and sandy terrain. Little noisy on the highway but its a knobby. Commute about 200 miles a week to work and looks like its holding up pretty well. Overall happy with purchase.

Thomas Goldbach Southern Pines,  NC One tire both worlds I'm not sure if I can rate the D606 Rear dual-sport tire in all fairness yet. I've only put 300 miles on it. But so far it seems to be fairly stable on the pavement (no off road time yet). This large lugged tire sings a pretty good tune at 60 mph. Time will tell on how well it wears.

Mark LaFlamme Lewiston,  ME Smiling Bob confidence It's official, thumpers. You can count me among the legions of fans of the Dunlop D606. A 60/40 on/off kind of guy, I'm a week into a new pair and more impressed by the muddy mile. From the start, I was thrilled at how well these suckers do on pavement. Leaning into a turn is no problem -in fact you can still have a blast on those twisty roads to nowhere. Speed does not bring about any unexpected behavior at all. The howl of the knobs is there but it's not nearly as dramatic as some sensitive types have made it out to be. It's sort of a low moan, like a kid trying to mimic the sound of a cartoon ghost. I got used to it within days and barely notice it anymore. When I do notice, I consider it my Suzuki DR650 expressing glee over the landscape upon which we're riding: “Oooooooooh”

Chris Topeka,  KS Dunlop - D606 Dual Sport Rear Tire I put his tire on the rear of my DR650 for a trip to Moab recently and was extremely pleased with the way my bike performed on the mix of sand, gravel, and rocky trails that I rode. Vast improvement over the OEM Trailwings that came on the bike. I will definitely consider buying this tire again in the future. I will point out that I was running a Pirelli MT21 on the front. This has been and outstanding off-road combo of tires on my Suzuki for more aggressive trail riding.

Kevin Kirkland,  WA Good tires, I'll buy them again Nothing bad to say about the 606's. Better on the street then I thought they would be. Freeway speeds are stable but noisy. Gravel/Hardpan - need to air down. Loose dirt/mud - hooks up very well. Very stiff carcass, a little hard to install.

John Radebaugh Cashmere,  WA Dunlop 606 For my use on forest roads, with lots of paved miles in between, I prefer the 606 over any other tires on my KLR. I get very good mileage, good grip on many surface conditions, and once used to the buzz, they work fine on pavement. There are cheaper tires, but they are not as durable, nor do they perform as I wish.

Michael fenelon falls,  ON excellent set of tires I ride mostly off-road with my wr250r and these tires have done me wonders, I have yet to cross a river or find a trail, no matter how easy or technical the trail may be that will stop me or the tires. All and all these tires are incredible, I have had to do a couple emergency stops and ride in some horrendous rain storms and they handled very well. You can’t even notice a difference if riding in the rain except the fact your getting soaked. The highest speed I have reached is 142km on these babies (As fast as the wr will go). I will defiantly be buying another set of these, the tires also seem to be wearing out allot slower then I had thought, and they seem to wear out quite evenly, I have probably about 700km on the road and 1300km on the trails with these tires and I am very impressed.

John Grover New Braunfels,  TX Dunlop - D606 Dual Sport Rear Tire I bought this tire not knowing how it would handle and I’m happy that the guy's there recommended it to me. I first tried it out on the trails with my KLR 250 with 17 psi in the back and 20 on the front it handled well and made for a nice ride I then hit the road and cruised at a cool 70 mph I was pleased with the ride as well, there was no humming from the tires like you might think a knobby would have and the cornering was super. This is a nice tire on and off the road. I won't use anything else for now on. Thanks for the great service and the speedy delivery. These guys are the best and know what they are talking about.

Robert Tate Lebanon,  NH Awesome tires!! Wish I had found this site earlier, as their prices are much better than what I have found in the past. I just bought my 3rd set of 606's for my XR650R. I love these tires. They hook up extremely well in the dirt, and stick like glue on the pavement! I have not had any problems with them at highway speeds either. Since I am one of those "idiots" that rides all year long, I recently added carbide studs to a set of 606's for winter riding! Except for the buzzing sound of the studs on pavement, the bike doesn't seem to handle any differently. I am going to order another set of these tires for my other bike as well, a 2002 XR650L.

Gary Galt,  CA Awesome 606's on a '05 KLR250 This tire hooks-up great on all types of dirt also great grip on street. Did 65-70mph on street with no problems. Didn't notice tire humming (like the KLR650 riders) - maybe because of the lighter weight of the 250? 90/90-21 fits like stock, but you'll need a 40-sprocket rear for swing arm clearance with the 130/90-17. For more clearance, remove the stock muffler, have a custom rear pipe made, slap-on a muffler of your choice (mine's an FMF Megamax - don't forget to re-jet & adjust; using MAIN 122.5 & PILOT 38). Remember, these are knobbies, so don't go crazy on pavement! Be safe.

David Rockford,  MI Dunlop D606 rear I replaced my stock rear on my XR650L with this tire and I'm very impressed with it. It hooks up very well on the road and off. I only have my stock rear to compare to it and it's night and day off road. I ride trails that have loose dirt, deep sand and tight single track and this tire was a great choice IMHO. I would get another one in a heartbeat. The price on this site is tough to beat and makes this tire an extremely good value. Awesome dual sport tire. Couple this tire with a Pirelli Scorpion pro up front and you've got a heck of a good combo for the above mentioned types of trails!!!!

Luke Dallas,  TX Nice for KLR650 I put a pair of D606 tires on my KLR650, great performance off road compared to the stock tires. They hook up really well on the soft stuff where the stock tires would slip quite a lot. On road they are not as nice as the stock tires but I can live with the performance compromise for the extended tire life, they chirp easier on the street around corners and stopping. I would highly recommend for dual sport riding mostly off road or short road trips, but probably not for the touring dual sport riders. They howl pretty good on the street too, could get annoying for the long haul.

Eric Naperville,  IL Street legal off-road tires!! If you want your street legal enduro to stay street legal and still have tires as aggressive as your dirt bike, then these are the tires for you. Not too bad on the road, slight-noticeable hum at around 50mph to 60mph, but all out off road traction when you leave the pavement. Definitely worth the trade-off if your bike sees more trail than road. DOT legal and very manageable on road.

bret queen creek,  AZ desert tire The 606's are great out here in the southwest desert. Great traction on a 650R in sand, hard pack, rock, and loose dirt.(not much mud here) The edges 'smudge' a little when driven hard on pavement, and you can expect quick wear on pavement. Overall great tire for dual sporting where you are 70% or better off road. Have done 3, 200+ mile rides on one set before replacement. They were tough trails, and the tires still had enough meat left to save as spares.

Paul Rochester,  NY Better off This is a great off road tire. We have a lot of wet sticky mud in this area, and it cleans itself very well. Also does well on the hard pack if you play with the pressure. As far as on road goes not many miles of wear in this tire on the rear. I have a XR650L that has had these tires on it from week one. The factory skins had to go. The bike has 3200 miles on it now. The front is doing great. I'm on my second rear now and will have to change it by the time I get to 4000 miles. The first one had good tread at 2000 miles, but started to chunk, and split. This one on it now looks as if it going to do the same. But even at this the tire for a full blown knob has very good manners on the street. Even in the wet. My riding is about 60% on and 40% off. For the money, and the way they work off road. Really you can't go wrong with these tires. I'll keep buying them.

Greg Todd Kempner,  TX Dunlop D606 Dual Sport Rear Tire I have a 2006 Suzuki DR650SE. The OEM tire lasted 6 months and was almost completely worn out. I replaced it with a Dunlop D606. After almost 4500 miles, I decided it was time to replace it again. It still has some tread left, but not enough to pass the annual inspection. I chose to get another D606. Although a large portion of my riding is on highways (120 miles round trip to work), I have log some dirt miles as well. This tire is the best wearing knobby I have ever have on a dual sport/dual purpose motorcycle (the Dr is my 7th over the last 30 years). It's about time to replace the from OEM tire, and have already ordered a front Dunlop. I would recommend this tire to anyone looking for a full knobby with good wear on the road.

Works fine on the road for casual rides on back roads. Not as good in dirt as a true MX tire. It isn't as aggressive as a single purpose dirt tire. bhtransalpin Rapid City,  SD Mr. Mounted a set on my 1990 Honda Transalp last June. They were a little squirrely when first riding on the blacktop, improved after a bit of wear. EXCELLENT on the trails and back roads. Wet weather riding was a bit of a challenge - but hey, they're knobbies! Dry weather on road riding was adequate, but noisy. I won't mount another set unless I plan on about a year of HEAVY off-road riding. Tires lasted about 4500 miles. Most places advertise these as 90/10 (off/on) and they are correct - n
