Works great going to take it to Denver soon, Lord willing. Bought a Gripster rear tire this summer went to Denver on it and it worked well on the street, did well in the rain, did great on the trails at ranpart range, and now that I’ve got both front & back Gripsters…It really handels wonderfully, nice tires we’ll see how they wear. Oh I put them on a 650 KLR 08.Really like them Thanks M.C.S.S.

Best bang for the buck in my opinion. If you are looking for a 80/20 tire this is it. Great durability... they last 3 times longer than stockers on the KLR. Aired down to 22 psi they are a decent dirt tire. They will slide a bit...know that and use it! Not good in the mud..they will pack up on you! I've ground about 1/4 inch off the peg feelers on the '08 KLR-650 so they are a solid street tire!

Nice transition from the D606's
After riding with a more dirt oriented tire for the past two years, this is a nice smooth ride. I haven’t taken them off road to any extreme so I do not feel confident to make note. If I can get 7k out of them it will be a good tire. Note: these tires were the first ones I have ever had problems seating the bead. That could be a good thing - nice tight fit.

They don't like mud
I bought a matched set for my KLR650. I ride 5 out 7 days a week to work. I live in the country so my ride involves dirt roads. On dry days they handle the dirt good. It's a fun ride. They are smooth and grip the paved roads good. Mud is a whole different story. On muddy roads (not too muddy for cars) they are spooky. They are all over the place. Like riding on ice. Our roads are not clay either, mostly sand. Haven't had them long enough to tell how long they will last. I would buy them again.

Mounted them on my 08 KLR650.I commute on blacktop only..RT 74 miles. Very smooth ride, corners like a painted line. Can’t comment on handling in rain yet. Love the ride. Strongly considering installing a set on my DL650 also.

Avon - AM24 Gripster Front Tire
Corners very well. It's not an aggressive tire off road but I was surprised that in has very little wander on gravel roads. On the street it out performs my riding skills as I have never got it to slip dragging pegs. The Gripster does not need my input as it is a well established tire in the duel sport community.

So far so good, rides much smoother than the stock Dunlop’s. I ride primarily highway but have had no problems on gravel or packed dirt fire roads. Durability unknown as I've only had them just over a month, however, I'm hoping previous reviews of 8 to 10 K miles proves true.

So far, so good.
After about a month of wear, these new Gripster tires are living up to their claims. Much better traction on the pavement than the stock knobby tires on my KLR 650, and good enough grip on the dirt. Since this is mostly a commuter bike for me, the gains on pavement are much more important than the slight loss in the dirt. The other thing I really like is that they hold the road much better on slotted highway concrete-not launching me left and right like the old knobbies did.

I really like how the tire looks on the bike and it performs great. The only thing is the rotation of the front tire is different then the back.hummmm. I thought about it. Since I sell high end bicycle’s like Cannondale, MTB and the tires are put on the same way. it made since to me the front tire pushes the water or dirt away the rear digs in for traction......great tires I love them...
