Comparable tread pattern to the Bridestone Trailwing, Cheng Shin C858, IRC GP1, Kenda 270, etc. Lowest price of all of them. With mixed on/off road riding, tires on the DRZ-400S don’t last long anyway, so I go with the lowest price. Cornering rating of 3 was for ON-ROAD.

Best value in tires for light-weight off-road bikes!
I wasn't really expecting much considering the price ($80/pair with tubes and shipping), but they work excellent on my '77 Yamaha XT500. I've only put 600 miles on them so far, but their performance on every surface (except maybe gravel) is very good. No wear evident on either end. Like most tires of this type, they're a little noisey at highway speeds - no biggie. I'll be buying more for my XT350.

Shinko - 244 Dual Sport Tires
Have these tires on a powerful dual sport. Second tire on the rear front still going strong. I would buy them again. These tires hold up well.

Loving this tire, this tire is exceptionally stable on California grooved pavement because the offset knobby avoids grabbing the groove, and the bike rides much better. On gravel and light mud, this tire is perfect for my rather large bike.

I got 3.00-18 and 3.00 -17 love the tire, but its bigger, wider than expected, it’s more like 3.35 width, and I need to send them back. They are so much wider than the 3.00 on them now.

244 Dual Sport Front - Rear Tire
I bought these tire because they were cheap and I liked the dual sport look. I do mean price because they work very well. They corner like a road tire and have good traction in the dirt. Great tires.

After all the reading, research, and patient these shinkos are the best deal on the planet. These are indeed yokahamas underneath the shinko label and they are awesome in every way...the feel is great, traction great, cornering awesome. They look so much better close-up; the pics can't do it proper justice.

Golden Boy!
Good price point for the quality. The major selling point of these should be the name “Golden Boy” It's stamped on the sidewall! Have only had them on for maybe 100 miles at most but I am very satisfied with the performance thus far. I put these on a 1976 Kawasaki KE 175. It's in good shape with low miles so I won't be flogging it into the corners too much. They work well off road as with reliable grip and the same goes for the pavement. No wet action to report.

great tires
I have 2 sets of these. One set for a 72 CL175 and one for a 67 CL90. These are great dual-sport tires. I mostly use these on road. The only issue I have had is that you need to break them in about 250 miles before they become fully stable in on road cornering. I have had them on for 1100 miles so far and they show barely any wear

A co-worker of mine was tight on money and the tires on his commute bike (XT=225) were pretty much down to the cord. I wanted to make him 'safe' but not spend lots of money on something fancy. Purchased front and rear. Tires looked nice, mold lines crisp and tread pattern appeared to be fine for duel sport bike used more on the street. They mounted up fine and he is very happy. Based on my observations, if I used the bike like him (mostly street) I would have no problem trying them out on my bike.
