Chuck Jerome,  MO Good tire for price I bought this tire for the OEM replacement on my '09 DR650. Was able to get 5100 miles out of the original tire on the bike which I thought was pretty good. Tire handles well on pavement and on gravel roads but lacks in the mud and leaf covered trails. Overall good tire if you use it for what it is made for.

Roland Gutbier French Settlement,  LA Trail Wings 41 an 42 Very good tires. Best for my bike DR650 Suzuki. Good cornering and dry traction. Only about 5000miles tire life and poor wet traction. Still a good tire for the Price.

Ronald Aponte Bloomfield,  NJ Excellent stock tire This is a stock rear for my DR-650. It does just what it says, 50/50. It's great on the street, rain or shine, excellent traction. Off-road it's fine on gravel or hard dirt but I can't say much for loose dirt, sand, or muddy conditions. Of course, I'm not too good on loose dirt roads to begin with. Wear is average for this type tire, about 5k. Overall, for my use I would not think of anything else.

cory werner austin,  TX Bridgestone - TW42 Trail Wing Dual Sport Rear Tire Good tire, not as bad as people say in the forums. I do have to say that the rear tire is a lot better than the front, front washes out easily in the dirt. Both perform well on the street, I can really lean on these tires and they always seem to grip well. Only reason I bought this tire is because my front tire wasn't worn out yet. I would also say that the trailwing series seems to be built pretty good. Last TW42 only lasted 4K.

Steve Stowell-Virtue Hanover,  IL Bridgestone -TW2 - Suzuki DR 650 OEM tire for the DR650. A good bang for the buck. A very good all around tire if most of your riding is street, gravel or dirt roads. If you are more dirt oriented go with the Dunlop 606. I've made several 1,000 plus mile trips on these tires. They perform, wear and ride very well.

Richard Warrenton,  GA Do not ride in mud Bought this tire for my 06 Susuki 650 DR. Good traction on paved roads but does NOT do well on dirt and especially in any type of mud. You will be fighting the bike the entire time. No fun at all. If you plan on sticking to the paved roads it will do fine. But be careful when going off road.

Keith Sheeley Gun Barrel City,  TX Not as bad as they say. First Motorcycle Superstore is fantastic and I have been very happy with their service and Bridgestone is my favorite tire manufacturer. The Bridgestone TW42 Trail Wing Dual Sport Rear Tire is affectionately known as the "Death Wing". It's really not that bad and it's surprisingly sticky on asphalt. I've used these tires on my '08 Suzuki DR650 on a really twisty road in Arkansas and they were really good and allowed insane lean angles. Be advised they wear very fast. The tire this one replaced had just 3600 miles, so you get dirt tire on street wear and near street tire on dirt grip. Where you don't want one of these is off-road. While they look semi-off-roady, they are not. In fact in loose dirt or sand they are just terrible hence their nickname. Why did I buy one? Because the front was not worn enough to replace yet and I was reluctant to mix tires when one was called the Death Wing. Next time I will try different dual sport tires but the 90% street 10% dirt mix works for me.

Derek Portland,  OR TW42 Bought the TW42 for my F650GS, wanted a 50/50 rear, with a tighter tread pattern to reduce the wear of road riding with panniers and such. Rode 240 miles of Forest roads, dirt, double track, and deep sand on the Oregon Back country route, plus all the pavement to get there. After some 500 miles, Happy so far. The TW42 has meet my needs, and didn’t resemble the death wings that many rant about. Its a good mixed use rear. We will see about the tire life.... So far so good.
