These Shinko R not Stinkos!
I was originally trying for the 705 series for more street tread. I ended up getting these and am very impressed! Last tire was Kenda K-270's. Those squirmed and squished through corners with little neutral feedback. The 700 series Shinkos handle really well along with a neutral predictable feel. Front end feedback is much improved. Because it's part knobby it only gets 4 stars for wet traction. It's like getting a "Kings-966" tire for much less $$! Enjoy.

Great dualsport front tire - awesome value
On my DR650 I went from a D606 to this tire and I'm very happy with the change. On road there is no comparison, the Shinko is worlds better than the D606. Off-road is where I was shocked - the Shinko sticks loose corners at least as well as the D606, I think better really. The DR650 is heavy and is notorious for washing the front. I had terrible results from the stock Deathwing and a Maxxis 6006. The D606 was much better but the price paid was howling on pavement and that lack of grip true knobbies have on paved curves. The ratings above don't really apply to dual sport tires. So I give the tire 5 stars for overall capability and 6 stars for value!

I only have a few hundred miles on this tire but I like it on the pavement. It sticks to the pavement and makes cornering a breeze.

Shinko 700 s
I ordered these tires thinking they were cheap enough to get me started while I got better informed. They have been great! I have put over 1200 miles on them commuting every day. There is some knobby whine. They inspire confidence on the street on grooved pavement and in the curves. I am looking forward to getting them in the dirt to see how that works out. GREAT VALUE.

Shinko Tire 700
I don’t have much time on the Shinkos yet. They feel good though, very neutral. They don’t seem to fall in or stand up in corners. I am convinced that the traction is very good. The only question remaining is tread life, and only time will tell. As a long time Maxxis M6006 user I liked the Maxxis tire but they have gotten too expensive for what they are. One thing I love about the Shinkos is that they are quiet on pavement. The M6006’s create a deafening roar even at moderate speeds. The only thing that would be better is if they offered a 2.75-21 front instead of the 90/90-21, which is of course a 3.00-21. I prefer the smaller tires lighter steering.

Shinko - 700
Picked up one of these to replace the OE scorpion on my KTM 950 Adventure. It gives up a bit on the street but much better in the dirt. Loaded 2 up with bags it felt pretty good on loose gravel and soft sand. Street stability good no wobbles to over 100 MPH. While it isn’t a true Knobby it is a good DS tire. Two thumbs up.

I like this tire. It seems to be less twitchy then the m6006 that was on there before, on and off road, dry. On road it's almost like a gripster when dry. No mileage report so far.

Shinko 700 Series Dual Sport
I put these on a Honda 650XRL dual sport. I have taken them off road three times at this point. I have gone across creeks, mud, and very rocky trails (mountains of TN). So far they performed pretty well. Are they as good as regular dirt tires? No, but if you know how to ride they will take you where you want to go. They perform very well on the street wet or dry. I still would like to have a extra set of wheels for the technical riding (a little slick for wet leaves)to put a more aggressive tire on. The day I rode in the mud, my riding buddies on their regular dirt bikes fell more than I did so I was pleased with the performance. You can't beat the price for sure. I run shinkos on my GSXR and like the way those tires performed as well. How long they will hold up only time will tell. So far I have not seen any noticeable wear and I have had them on the street a lot.
