IRC GP1 Dual Sport Tire
This is my second rear GP1 on my DR650. The front GP1 still has lots of tread left. Approximately 5000 miles on both. I have to say that I am extremely pleased with these tires. They handle great on wet/dry pavement and on dry/moist dirt, gravel and rocks. They aren't designed for heavy deep mud but can still go through all right if your speed is up. I replaced some Dunlap 606's with these. The Dunlop’s are fine but a little squirrely on hardpack gravel. The IRC's are solid on most all surfaces. They are like DOT approved trials tires.

IRC GP1 Tire Rear
Rear tire has 1250 miles on it from dirt and pavement. Mostly dirt and gravel. It took a hit from a fence wire staple. Did not destroy the tire. It is holding up well and I will try and get it back to the Oregon Coast. Will have 5K miles plus on it then.

Great Tire on my KLR
I just put a set on my KLR 650. Took a ride up in the local mountains, which included about 60 miles of dirt roads. The tires took on everything from loose sand to water crossings, they did great. The bike felt very hooked up in the dirt. Also very secure on the street. I will run these all summer and put another set on next winter, before my annual trip to Death Valley in January. So far, I like this tire alot.

CONFIDENCE INSTILLERS
Rear tire from day one has performed admirably. Has kept bike (KLR650) anchored to everything I have thrown at it, gravel, mud, hard corners, etc. The trade-off is that the tire is soft and the tread started melting away immediately. "Bald" at 2800 miles. Have purchased the Shinko 244 clone at half the price and will have more to say about that after the smiles and miles roll on.

Great tire
Great handling on loose surface roads. Great on the highway and on dirt and mud too. Haven't had em long enough to comment on tread life.

Great Tires
I have only gone a short distance on the new tires but am very pleased with the purchase. I gave them 4's on wet traction and tread life because I have not had them long enough, but they are great for the money.

These are great tires. Not the longest lasting but very predictable on road and dirt. Combine them with a more aggressive front (MT-21, Scorpion XCMH, Trakmaster II) and you've got a real nice dual sport combination.

True dual-sport wheels.
I've got a 92 DR650 and an 87 XL600R. I use these tires on both rear wheels. I ride the XL 70% dirt and 30% road. They're strong performers on gravel, grass, and sticky shallow mud. They're a little squirrely on the really loose or the really wet slop, but are predictable none the less. The DR is my commuter vehicle. I ride all over mountain roads, curvy and vicious and they tear up the road. Acceleration and breaking shine through. They hold tight at 45 degree lean and power solidly through turns. When I see a dirt road off the side of the highway, I have the confidence to know that they'll get me through the trail. On the freeways they are solid at high speed and grippy through merging. I love these things, and they're usually the cheapest on the market.

IRC GP-1 Dual Sport Rear Tire IRC - GP-1 Dual Sport Rear Tire
Good tire for a compromise between a full off road and street tire. Still allows for some good off road maneuvers and is predictable. Stay out of the mud with it. It clogs easily in Louisiana Gumbo mud. In sand and loose dirt it has good flotation and is not a Grave Digger. Maintains good street ability and wear.
