Not for serious dirt use
Maybe an OK tire for light dual sport, but this tire just washes out like crazy. The only reason to get these is because you *need* (I mean REALLY ***NEED***) the DOT rating for when you get stopped by the State Patrol. Otherwise, there are just much better tire choices. Even a lousy MX tire is better at cornering than the MT16. Nobody here seems to be able to keep the tire from remotely washing out running over 10 psi. 11 psi - washout city. Consider buying a set of good, intermediate MX tires then razor-blading off the "Not for highway use" label. You'll be happy you did.

Pirelli - MT 16 All Terrain MX Front Tire
Excellent traction in front. Much better wash out control than the Dunlop 606. More side wall grip to pull out of ruts and is acceptable on highway. Seems to be holding up very well to my 40 mile commute everyday. 2000 miles and very little wear.
