kevin hemet,  CA maxxis- desert-It Great for hard and not so hard surfaces. Harder, longer lasting rubber compound than anything else I’ve used yet. 800 miles of desert rocks, sand and some asphalt and their still in better shape than the tires on my bikes with less miles. Great deal.

Paul Pagosa Springs,  CO Not What I expected I ride a lot of trails in southwest Colorado and I need a tire that will stand up to jagged rocky conditions. I thought these tires would be a good fit since the conditions here are very similar to desert conditions. After my first ride on the new set, my rear tire was considerably worn and already chunking. 3 rides later and I'm already thinking I'll be lucky to get the rest of the season out of the rear tire. Maybe I misunderstood something in the description, but I am not impressed.

Matt Fremont,  CA Best rear tire for my Husky.. I have a dual-sport 08 Husqvarna (TE450) and have yet to find an off-road tire that will handle the on-road riding better. Yeah, I know the desert IT isn't DOT rated but with the stiff side-wall construction and the long-lasting wear it's the perfect tire for a DS rider who rides 90% off-road.
