Item Description

Dunlop Geomax MX51 Intermediate Terrain Front Tire

Chiseled shoulder block shape improves side traction and makes traversing ruts easier. This tapered shape facilitates knob penetration through soft surfaces, whereas a flat knob would ”float” and/or be deflected. Instead, the tapered knob penetrates into the firmer underlying ground to give the tire more bite for more traction. Used by top pro riders for the Supercross and Motocross Nationals

Features:
  • New design profile with “more volume” for excellent cornering grip and improved ride comfort
  • Recessed biting edges for greater cornering traction and rut performance in a wider range of terrain conditions
  • Tie-bar for increased block stiffness and recess design for improved medium-to-harder terrain performance
  • Unique “cross stitch” shoulder block distribution for better traction and grip in medium-to-medium-hard conditions
  • Larger radius block base for strength and increased durability

Great intermediate front

I mainly ride trails and so far this tire is performing well. It seems to do well in a wide variety of terrain. I initially tried the MX31 (soft tire) but found it would "let go" on slightly firm terrain. This tire is performing much better.

Donlop, Bring back the 756!!

This tire sucks compared to the 756 for Texas and loamy soft soil. It loses traction on turn in and acceleration leaving a turn. Now 756 are hard to find and everyone that I know prefers them.

Great Tires

These are the tires to get. Traction is much better than the Maxix but tire life is shorter.

Great all around Tire

YZ 250. Terra= Desert and Mountain Trails. Works great in both conditions. Rocks chunk it but it's not really a rock compound.

Great all around tire!

If you ride in all kinds of terrain then this is a great tire for you. It will give you good traction in all kinds of terrain and the rubber is so durable it will last at least 1500 miles. I mainly do dualsport rides and this is the best tire I have used. It handled miles of rocks as well as mud, dirt and gravel. Per some reviews I ran it at 15 psi for widely varied terrain. No pinched tubes.
