So far I've only had two rides on the new tire. At this point I'm very happy with the tire. It does everything I want it to do...

I think it is a good tire. I probably should have gotten one size larger. I put a 120 on a WR250. Probably should have gotten the 130. I like a lot of side grip but I am not sure this one has enough. Has pretty good drive grip. I am afraid I cannot kick the S12 habit. I order a set of the new S12XCs which are supposed to be more durable. You just can't beat an S12 for grip on soft terrain. I think the M5B would be more predictable on harder terrain than the S12 and It looks like it's durability is very good. Not a bad tire at all. It has some good qualities. I have ridding buddies that swear by the M5B. A bigger one would probably have worked better for me.

I've been running this model tire for the last twelve years. I've got a KX 500 and any other tire I've used gets knobs torn off from the first ride on. The M5B is an outstanding mud/slime tire. On hard pack it simply wears down slowly. Sharp rocks leave slice marks but the knobs stay on the tire. It’s the only rear tire I'll ever use.

This is listed as a soft tire, but it’s very durable and should last the weekend woods rider a year.
