Product Description
Dunlop Geomax MX51 Intermediate Terrain Front Tire

New profile design with more tread volume (greater land/sea ratio) in the shoulders for excellent cornering grip and a more open center-tread area for straight-line grip. Recessed biting edges in shoulder tread blocks yield more traction for greater grip, especially in corners and ruts, throughout a wide range of terrain conditions.

Chiseled shoulder block shape improves side traction and makes traversing ruts easier. This tapered shape facilitates knob penetration through soft surfaces, whereas a flat knob would ”float” and/or be deflected. Instead, the tapered knob penetrates into the firmer underlying ground to give the tire more bite for more traction.Tie-bar design connects and reinforces the tread blocks for greater tread stiffness, yielding improved intermediate-to-hard terrain performance.

Recess design in the area between tread blocks gives the tire improved compliance for enhanced ride comfort. Larger-radius tread block base for strength and increased durability. Used by top pro riders for the 2008 Supercross and Motocross Nationals

Bryan Benbrook,  TX MX 51 Front Tire Ran my first cross country race and did not have one front end wash out in 32 miles, replaced and old Dunlop 756 that washed on almost every ride. Great tire!

Danny Jackson West Jordan,  UT More than intermediate. I mounted this model tire both front and back on my CRF250R after seeing some good initial reviews. I have been very happy with its performance. Even though it is an intermediate tire it transitions very well from the dry/wet situations found on most tracks. I am becoming very comfortable with its ability to stay consistently planted no matter what.

Mike Heffern Toledo,  OH Saved me from crashing more than once I had a Maxxis on my CRF 450X before my Geo Max. The difference was night and day. My Maxxis would wash out in corners, a lot. As soon as I put this Geo Max on I could feel the difference right away. Where you point this tire it goes and it rides over sand and mud, but gives you a firm grip in all types of terrain. In tight corners where I would have crashed. This Geo Max sidewalls stuck into the sand and saved me on two different occasions from crashing. I won't run anything else on my front rim. The wear life is also very good with this tire. I've had 4 hard rides on this tire and the wear on it is minimal. Intermediate MX51 Geo Max is the Bomb. My buddy rode my bike for a 20 mile loop and ordered one the next day. He said it rode on top of the sand and the turning in corners was smoother and easier than his Michelin.

robert segool delevan,  NY out standing I’m 47 years old, I’ve been racing since the late 70s I have always used dunlop tires and my favorite was the d756s. Now that I tried the mx51 they are like 756s on steroids, it is unbelievable how much they grip in the corners, just to let you young guys know, when scrubbing lean a little more because these babies bite!

Ross Sparta,  MI MX-51 I had a slightly worn 490 on my CR250 when I got it and the front was not to stable on high speed, slick corners. I put the MX-51 on and it bites on everything, no wash-outs, good planted feeling. About 5 full days at the track and still looks brand new
