The skid plate fits perfectly, and I was able to install it solo. I would strongly suggest removing both foot pegs before beginning. This makes access much easier.

Not much protection on my bike, so since I ride some really rocky woods terrain I invested in this. TOTALLY worth the money. Saved me a few times the first time I rode with it on there. Super tough.
Installation is possible by yourself but is frustrating. Get someone to hold the plate in place while you fasten everything.

I put this skid plate on my 2009 KLX250S and it's large enough to cover the whole front of the engine! I painted mine Blue and it looks great! It's pretty 'beefy' and quite heavy, but clearly will protect your engine and more...! Installation is a'little tricky, you might need an extra hand to help.

AWESOME PLATE!!! Offers so much more protection than stock "bar guard," fit perfect and took 15 min. to install...this is a must if you plan on taking your XR into the rocky stuff, oh and the bike looks better with it on too.

I installed this skid plate on my Crf150f. The protection it offers is great, except the front of the plate is low and does not wrap up towards where the gas tank is so mud and debries falls in. The extra protection on the side is great though. The major problem I discovered is the vibration. On my bike, the metal skid plate touches the metal on the under side of my bike. When the rpms increase the two metal pieces vibrate and create a loud noise.
