I PURCHASED THE BAJA-DESIGNS LIGHT WITH THE HID GERMAN 66043 BULB. ITS A NICE BRIGHT WHITE HID AND WORKS GREAT FOR NIGHT RIDING. ITS ON THE EXPENSIVE SIDE OF OTHER HID LIGHTS ONLINE BUT EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE OF GOOD QUALITY. TIME WILL TELL IF IT HOLDS UP TO OFF-ROAD USE.

You will need to double check to see if your bike has a stator, to find an aftermarket stator seems to be impossible for a 2005 YZF 250. Im not to happy to find out after buying the product my bike is not equipped with a stator. If your bike has a stator then this is a must have. It took me about 2 hrs to install the lights cleanly.
Not great for me.

The light switch failed in the first week. I was driving on an unlit street at the time, luckily I didn't crash. The brake light switch failed soon after. The light is dim. I had to get a rewound stator for this (2005 crf230f). My battery will go dead after a few hours of riding. If you do have this kit you might consider getting a hydraulic brake switch instead (front). It's very simple and plugs right in. Any switch for Nissin style brakes will work, these are on most Japanese bikes.

I bought this for my son CRF150, easy to install look great on the bike, little cheap on the switch. Need a new stator to keep up when driving slow speed, will run down quickly with stock stator. I might buy a kit for my CRF450x..
Light kit works great...Problems with original order

Once I received all the parts (mine was missing the foot brake switch assembly ) the kit works great on my Honda CRF230. The headlight is brighter than expected and the taillight/brake light works well also...
The instructions are fairly straight forward. Takes about 2 hours to install all of the kit. Make sure you have plenty of zip ties if you want to do a clean installation. All of the connectors plug into OEM connectors w/o any problems. Gave it a 4 for quality just because I think the plastic headlight assembly would probably get destroyed in any type of collision involving the front end....

I put this on my Honda 150. The installation wasn't too confusing, although there are no instructions for the headlight assembly in the instruction booklet. The other instructions are sufficient in order to figure out how to mount it though. I ride in sub zero weather in Alaska, and I have not had any trouble with the kit.
