The stock chain guide was a flimsy piece of white plastic that, while semi-functional, quickly degraded and was an embarrassment to look at. The BBR guide looks fantastic and should last the lifetime of the bike. And the fit was perfect.

As you know, the stock chain guide on the crf/xr 100 is non-existant. This thing adds a bit of weight, but could save you from a catastrophe.
Use locktight! I put this on my wifes bike two rides ago and when I went to put a new tire on it wasn't there. I don't know how she didn't notice it coming off, but it's not there anymore... not using loctite is an expensive lesson.

The CRF100F doesn't come with a chain guide and there are several stories of the chain coming off and breaking the cases. The quick fix is a BBR chain guide. A bit expensive, but it's easy to install, quality product, that fixes the problem.
