Olympia - 4370 Cold Throttle Hi-Viz Gloves

These gloves are fit very well and they are very comfortable. They also match my hi-vis jacket.

Great gloves!

I usually am a solid XL (XXL in Alpinestar) and the Large fits me perfectly. They are mostly waterproof, would say after an hour of complete downpour they will begin to feel a little damp (probably from water getting in the cuff). The leather is supple yet thick and protective. The strap is good but Olympia should get rid of the elastic band for better synching. Finally, the one huge improvement that can be made would be a little more protection lower on the palm.

Very good gloves--can't go wrong with these.

These gloves have excellent build and quality. They are warm down to the 42 degrees I've had them in so far. Will find out next winter how much cold they can withstand. Haven't tested them in the rain yet. The size runs a little large. If you were a large in other gloves, might suggest going with a medium pair. Lots of good features like the visor wiper on the left thumb. Quality is very good. Highly recommend them.

Still cold

These are nice gloves, but not as warm as I thought they would be. I've been riding in temps in the mid 30's and after about 15 minutes of riding the fingers get cold. After thirty minutes it's freezing. Maybe I expected too much. However these gloves are well made and fit great. Like any glove it requires time to break-in and get comfortable for riding. These will be nice gloves when the temps are in the mid 40's.

Rain Gloves

The gloves run a little big, so check the sizing chart. The Hi-Viz color is incredible. Perfect for riding in inclement weather when people are expecting a motorcycle even less. They're pretty warm too, but probably not warm enough for extended riding near freezing, but they do make those late rides home a lot more comfortable though.

Good glove. Not the least waterproof

Great glove. Not the waterproof. In the time it would take for leather and synthetic to soak through in a mist, or heavy rain, these gloves are...soaked through in the hand part. They retain warmth when wet. (6 events recorded)

Sizes run larger

I'm glad I read the reviews first, I wear a medium normally but I orderd a small and the fingers are still a little big. The glove looks simple but well-constructed. The wiper blade on the left thumb and hi-viz color makes a lot of sense for commuting. The cuffs cinch close to keep in warmth. The insulation is not too thick. The only thing that would make this better is if there was some added padding around the palm and wrist.

Questionable Sizing

Using the Olympia sizing guide I ordered Medium size. (All of my other gloves are also Medium). Unfortunately it is very difficult to pull on the Olympia gloves and after forcing them on my hands the circulation to my fingers is cut off. It is difficult for me to believe these gloves are actually a medium size. Rather than throwing good money after bad I will seek another brand. Olympia has now been placed at the top of my very short list of manufacturers to avoid.
