Product Information

Drifter Teardrop Saddlebags with Shock Cutaway

The exciting Teardrop style looks great and requires no signal relocation on most bikes, and is now available with the Shock Cutaway Design, for bikes equipped with twin external shocks. The cutaway allows the bags to be mounted closer to the center of the bike, narrowing the overall width over the bags. The teardrop design allows the stock turn signals placement to be utilized on most bikes, eliminating the hassle of relocation. Twin shock bikes usually require a saddlebag compromise- the bags either fit outside of the shocks (really wide!) or behind the shocks, interfering with turn signals. Here’s a better solution! These bags fit comfortably around your bike’s shocks, without making the bike unnecessarily wide. Also fits bikes with hidden shocks.
  • Drifter features stylish straps and chrome buckles
  • Chrome saddlebag supports and mounting hardware are included, so you don’t have to buy anything else
  • Install them one of three ways: 1) A yoke is included for over-the-fender mounting, or 2) easily remove the yoke and hard-mount the bags using the included chrome Saddlebag Supports, or 3) add Saddlemen’s S4 Quick-Disconnect Mounting Kit (sold separately) for a custom, rigid mount installation that enables the bags to come on and off in seconds
  • Turn Signal Relocator bracket included for those harder-to-fit bikes
  • Rigid bag construction holds its shape even when empty
  • Large internal elastic mesh pockets for maps, etc.
  • Zippered yoke attachment removes bag quickly, carry handle included
  • Yokes can be removed for rigid mounting as desired
  • Size optimized for bikes with external shocks:
  • Dimensions: 20.5" long x 12" deep x 6.5" wide

  • Item # 19932
  • SKU #189631

Excellent Product

I installed these bags on my Vulcan 1700 Classic using Edge Brackets. The install was straight-forward, the bags look good and I am very happy with the setup as a whole.

Very nice

I love my new saddlebags. They are very nice and it took only 3 days for shipping to Canada. Thanks for your great service at Motorcycle Superstore.

nice bags

Good looking high quality bags with plenty of room I get compliments on them all the time. If you ride a Dyna you will need to relocate your turn signals and the install took a little longer than I thought it would. You can't go wrong with these bags. Shipping took 2 days!!! I highly recommend them.

Looks great!

Got these bags for my 2011 XL883L. They look great, but I did have to relocate my turn signals. Quality is great, don't leak at all in the rain. Love them!

Fit Great, look nice.

I used the Edge mount on my Super Glide Custom. Very easy install and they fit and look great. The only problem I see is the front side needs to be a little more rigid to keep it from collapsing when the bags are not full.

Nice saddlebags

These fit great on my Mean Streak. The only issue is that the "universal" brackets aren't quite universal- the bolt-hole centers are too far apart unless you want to heat & bend the bracket. Also the velcro on one side came 1/2-way off, I need to re-sew that. Otherwise I'm happy with them.

Decent Bags

Arrived on time. I installed with no problem. Looks real good on my 2008 vulcan 1500 classic-nice and tight to the frame and follows fender contours nicely. Only had them for 2 weeks but so far so good.

A decent set of bags

These are a nice set of bags for the money. Look great on my 2000 HD Sportster. They can be a little bit of a pain to install as rigid mount. There was plenty of hardware and the instructions were clear enough to mount bags to fender struts. Measure twice and drill once and you will have a good looking set of rigid mount saddle bags... can also be used as throw over if you don’t want to mount them.

Sweet Bags - Sour Install

Ok, good news first. These bags are beautiful - best looking ones in the hog pen at work - IMHO. They are semi rigid with a fantastic satin finish. The shape of them is perfect with my Super Glide Custom. Everyone tells me they look awesome. I highly recommend. Plan on moving your turn signals if you get these for a Dyna. They will fit, but the bracket that mounts to the bike needs two holes each side. One of those is where the turn signals are mounted. The relocation bracket is included, but I had to file some pieces to make the parts fit together - what a letdown. The signals look good once installed, the bags look fantastic on a Dyna, and provide plenty of storage.

Didn't Fit

These bags were supposed to fit my Honda Shadow 1100 - according to the Saddlemen fit chart on their website. They were not even close. Seemed like really nice bags though - good quality.

Saddlemen - Drifter Teardrop Saddlebags with Shock Cutaway

A little more difficult to install than I though. I was also told by a Rep. That I wouldn't have to relocate my tail lights and I did. The quality is very good and overall I would recommend to everyone.

2008 XL1200C needs light relocation

I bought these because they looked like the best bet not to have to relocate the lights, but that wasn't the case. I liked the look of the bags though, so I picked up a different relocation kit with the lay down license plate frame. I didn't like the one supplied and I was afraid the lights would interfere with opening the bag.

Decent bags, supports not so universal

The bags seem nice, about what I expected. The included "universal" supports aren't so universal- they will *not* fit a Kawasaki Mean Streak. I ended up buying additional brackets and will probably hard-mount the bags.

worthless

They looked great at first then I saw the wires came out of the ends of the lids. After maybe 2 weeks the stitching came undone on the fronts of one of the bags. 280.00 down the drain. I also found the velcro is a pain in the butt.
