Nice Comfortable glove with alot of protection

Get one size larger. I have seen other reviewers scoff about the velcro closure saying it looked cheap. There is nothing that looks "cheap" about this glove. It has reinforcements & padding in EVERY area where one would suffer an injury in a go down. Wrist bone, knuckle, fingers, & the top of the hand has extra padding in it. The craftsmanship looks really good too.

Great glove!

I've had about 3 different pairs of alpinestars gloves; these are hands down the best ones. took only a few weeks to break in and they feel great. not as breathable as I'd like them to be, but you're paying for the protection. always get compliments on these where ever I go. I wear a medium in all alpinestars and its the same fit for these. pick these up! I know I'll be getting them in another color soon.

Great Glove

These gloves are great, I have had them for around a year and they have held up nicely no seams or stitching coming undone and not showing a lot of wear and tear and I have been down with them on before.

.....

I was trying to find reviews on this glove to see if they are worth the money. So I got a coupon and decided to purchase them. Tell you the truth they are really nice gloves. Stiff but over time they will break in, (also they are pre-curved) Lots of protection, very cool looking, they are very different, not a normal looking glove. The only thing I don't like about this glove is the Velcro strap, very cheesy. For me the value of glove goes down cause of this strap. But I’m happy with it, glad I bought it.

Alpinestars S1 Gloves

The S1 gloves are a mixed bag. They fit pretty well except there is extra space in the palms and pinky fingers. Annoying, but not a big deal. The finish is excellent, and leather is very thick. I haven't crashed in them but I believe they are very durable. They have holes for ventilation, but they don't work very well. A little air flows through them, but not enough to deem them unusable in cold weather. In the extreme heat, your hands will sweat, but it doesn't bother me. The heart breaker is the wrist closure. It is a small piece of Velcro which I find to be unacceptable for a pair of gloves at this price. I am not confident the gloves will not come off in a crash at highway speeds. Because of this, I cannot recommend them.

1.5 years and no broken seams

These have been my main gloves for two years and they've got lots of miles on them. I use them riding to work every day and I have no broken seams after a year and a half. Can’t say that for the other two pairs from other brands I have. On the comfort side they're great after the few weeks it took to break them in. Not as breathable as I'd like in 100 degree heat but that doesn’t seem to faze me that much. Like other reviewers I've found the same problem with the wrist closer being too small to do its job IF you have a larger wrist. These gloves have served me well for what I paid for them. Bottom line: Great pair of gloves that will last, although there might be a better fitting glove out there for the money.

look good, ok fit, expensive

Gloves fit pretty snug even though I followed the size chart for my hand. Since they fit so snug, my hand sweats quite a bit but I'm not sure if all gloves are like this. Plastic knuckle protection doesn't fit perfectly to the size of the glove. They look good, never fallen so I hope they protect well too. In all, I'd say a comfortable glove but not worth how much they cost.

LACKING PROTECTION

For how much you spend for these, I was really disappointed in how much protection they provide. The palm is thin. The enclosure area is really thin and totally lacks protection. Top of the glove is well protected, almost the entire palm side is not. They fit well after about a week or two of constant commuting and stretching them out. I wouldn't buy them again.

Not worth the money

These gloves feel and look in real life like 40 - 50 dollar gloves at the very most. Also the holes in the gloves are fake so they don't vent at all. The Velcro strap is ridiculously cheap. It doesn't hold the glove in place and there is only a tiny bit of it so trying to secure them in place is an act of luck. Also, even though these gloves cost nearly 160 dollars, the graphics are silkscreened on and the graphics are incomplete. Like I said, for 160 dollars these gloves just don't cut it.

Didnt hold up well; not worth the cost

Just after purchasing these gloves the stitching started to come out on the fingers. The rubber velcro strap is now broke and there is a hole in the palm of the glove. They look semi-cool with all the Alpinestars logos but most of them are painted on. Definitely not worth the money.
