Poor tread life and weird goose bump comes out from the tires.

Had the tires mounted and went right out on a 1200 mile ride. In the rain, for most of it. The tires are quiet, handle well in the rain, are predictable in the turns and do everything well. No problems, just good performance.

    Excellent Dual Sport Tire

On my R1200GS, I run three types of tires. Michelin Road Pilot 3's for touring, Heidenau K60 Scouts for dirt, and now these Anakee's for dual sport. They stick like glue in the corners, even during mid-corner braking, and do OK on gravel roads. I only gave them a 4 for wet because I haven't had a chance to ride in the rain.

    Anakee 2 Front on 2007 R1200GS

Mostly sport touring (90%) with balance on gravel & packed dirt. Currently have 1,300 on these tires and have been very pleased to date. Haven't had them in any "gully washers" yet so didn't feel comfortable rating wet handling above a 4. Took me 300 miles to wear the molding "nipples" off of the center of the front tire. Scrubbed them off the rear edge to edge in about 100 miles. Very pleased with Motorcycle Store sales and service. Had tires two days after they were ordered.

    great tire

This is my 4th set of anakee tires. I have been well pleased with the handling and the mileage. I run them on a BMW 1200 adventure and usually get between 9 and 10 thousand miles.

Bought these tires for my Vstrom 650. Fantastic tires. Have ridden in rain, wind, heat, you name it. Can't imagine switching to another brand after the experience I've had with these tires.

Only had these on for 4 weeks now tire speaks for itself worth the money form what I have seen can't give a great rateing on such short use.

    decent tires

They are relatively quiet and have excellent wet traction (Large grooves work great!) Good handling considering they can do a bit of off-roading. Less tread life = disappointing

    Anakee 2 front tire

Great tires. This is my second set on my DL650. I rode over 14,000 miles on the last set. Mostly 2 lane, and a lot of chip seal roads. Some gravel/dirt roads. I would guess 85/15%. A little cupping on the front. With the big lug DS tires I Guess thats to be expected. Not great in slimey/clay mud. The lugs fill up, and they just loose traction. They last, they grip in all kinds of weather.

    Anakee 2

This will be my 4th set of the Anakee 2 tires on my BMW F800GS. They have treated me well on wet and dry roads in TX, OK and AR. I just wished I knew why I don't get as many miles out of them as everyone else. I am changing front and rear every 5,000 miles. Am I just that hard on them?

    Great!

I put these on my DL1000 Vstrom before a trip to Phoenix. They are the first set of tires I've put on and taken my bike through rain and down dirt roads, but so far they perform great. No problems in the rain. Still fairly fresh so I can't vouch for the longevity, yet.

    They stick, they wear

These tires grip the road. They wear well. The price is right for what you get. The fronts tend to scallop after 5-6000 miles, but it doesn't seem to affect ride. Got about 7500 miles out of last set. Could have stretched them out another 1000 miles.

    Good stuff

I've been using the Michelins for years. The Anake is the best foul weather tire you can put on a DR650. With a name like Rainman, I need rain tires! The DR, like KLRs and other light enduros are very "lockey" in the rain. The Anakee on the front and rear makes 100% difference in stopping distance in the rain without wheel lock. Not the best dirt tire, but then again, 99% of my riding is on the black top twisties... Rain or shine baby!
