I just purchased this battery for my 2002 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic, just a little over a year ago. Kept the battery well maintained on a Battery Tender the full time. The battery just recently started showing signs of not holding a charge. I took it, and had it checked out thoroughly, and it tested to be defective. NOT ACCEPTABLE! I will NEVER purchase another Yuasa battery!

Seems to be cranking over better than the gel battery I had in my bike for 2 years. I hope to get at least 3 years out of my new yuasa battery. In the winter I have a battery tender + charger giving it some charge. My bike is a 2011 Yamaha fz8. So far I am very happy with the battery. Time will tell..

My smooth running K75 RT (low vibration) used this #53030 plesently for about 4 years. Mind you I pull the caps and add reverse osmosis water every so often. As well, I use a good $ 40 battery tender / charger when parked during periods of stormy weather. Lithium,AGM,Solar. ..this good old lead acid battery held up well. In the past this same battery would last about a year and a half with out any care and maintenence. If you have the occasion to lay down or flip your bike this is not the one battery style for you. My other transportation devise uses Dilithium Crystals, not available for a K75RT...rats !!
