9" windshield

Nice windshield but will probably order a 12". It has cut down the wind but the 12" should take care of the problem.

9" not much different from 5"

When I bought the fairing, I bought a 5" windshield and also a 9" windshield. I figured I would keep them both and change out and use the 9" for longer rides. However, I found that the 9" doesn't offer really that much more protection than the 5" windshield. With the 5" windshield, the wind comes up and lands about where my eyes are. The 9" does about the same but the wind has moved up to about my forehead (I have a 2009 Honda VTX 1300R and am 6' tall). I sent the 9" back and am going to get a larger one, like the 12", for longer rides. Pretty quick and easy to install and change between windshields. I still think the 9" is a great windshield though and looks cool. Just be sure read and follow directions for cleaning the fairing and windshield: use warm soapy soft cloth/microfiber--don't use paper towels or windex-type cleaners.

9" wind screen

As usual, shipping, cost and availability with MS was just fine. This wind screen is a great piece. A perfect compliment to the fairing. esp. with the gradient colors.

Memphis Shade 9" shield

I bought the Memphis shade batwing with the 12". Loved it, fits pretty good but the 12" was right at my eye level which was very annoying on a long trip I took. I changed it to the 9", and now it is PERFECT. No wind hits my face and looks great. Definitely get the fade to black one with the tinted deflectors. Love it Love it. Thanks.

Batwing Fairing & Memphis Shade 9" windshield

I first read over the reviews before purchasing the Memphis Shade 9" Windshield, My ride is a 2006 Yamaha Roadliner. I am 6'1" tall and the 9"windshield works great for me, and Motorcycle Superstore's prices are right on. The shipping and handleing was also great; there was no damage to my order. Very happy customer...

Batwing

I have a Honda VTX 1300C that came with a Memphis Shades 19 inch Fats windshield, with quick release hardware. With it getting cold up here in Wisconsin, I installed the Batwing on the same QR hardware as the Fats windshield, plus the set of attachments that mate the Batwing to the QR hardware. Installing the Batwing took about 15 seconds. It channels the cold air away from your hands, head, and chest. Very aerodynamic. Solidly built.

Love it! First windshield was a 5". Just wasn't enough for me. I've got a 900 Vulcan, this really dresses my bike up with great functionality! Next will be the lowers!

I'm 5'9" and the 9 inch windshield is a great fit for me. I have it on a 2005 Honda VTX 1800C. I can see over it just right. And when I want to look through it, just drop my chin a little bit.

Ready for Winter

If you have a 5" shield and the wind is hitting you in the face or helmet, the 9" is the perfect solution. I'm 5'8 and the wind is not an issue anymore. I went from the road king shield to the MS and glad I did, my hands will be happy this winter.
