    EMGO Trunk

In general this trunk is very satisfying. Well built and easy to install and remove from the mounting plate. My only issue is you cannot open or close the trunk without the key. I would prefer the locking mechanism be separate from the latching mechanism so I don't have to dig out my key every time I want to grab something out of the trunk. Otherwise, seems like a great product and very stout. Much better than the fragile Shade box it replaces.

    Nice fit on my DRZ400

Was looking for a durable case for my gear while trail riding and street use. This box works perfect. Big enough to hold my helmet and jacket when storing and has plenty of storage for drinks/food while trail riding. I would recommend a small cooler or padding if you are gonna hassle drinks just because the inside is not padded. Definitely recommend this box.

    More than expected

This is a great utilitarian trunk. Only a few adjustments got the installation just right. I pared off a portion of the hinge fins to make a snug fit on my Symba rear rack. The look is just what I wanted: not too slick, a little retro. The cargo space was more than I expected from the description. Plenty of room on the back side for reflector stickers; adding enhanced visibility.

    Emgo Travel Trunk

I have it installed on a Ventura pack rack (with the lower grab rail) which is itself installed on a 2000 Honda Nighthawk 750. I use it primarily for commuting, so having a locking, waterproof trunk is very handy. It was easy to install with all the necessary hardware. I recently returned from a 700 mile trip through some rain (not a lot) and it stayed dry inside. It's easy to disengage from the base plate that gets permanently attached to your rack. It will hold one full face helmet.

    Works well

I wasn't sure what I was going to be getting since most of the Top Cases I looked at were double to triple the price of the Emgo Case. The install was easier than I thought it would be and only took about 20 minutes. It seems to be holding up well and does what I needed it for, to carry a few groceries, store my gloves, rain pants and Rocket jacket all together. Lot's of room. The lock works well too. I am very happy with the overall look and construction of the Case.

    Solid trunk

I used this on my DRZ 400. Rode trails, dirt roads etc. Never had an issue. The product appears a little 'cheap' but mine was solid as a rock.

    Very usable

It's not a very "heavy duty" trunk, but I'm not riding to Patagonia, so I'm sure it will be fine. I did reinforce the installation with different screws and bolts. It is exactly the size I was looking for - fits my backpack for work and to store my helmet when I get there - and is easy to use. I would recommend it.

    Motorcycle Enthusiast

I mounted this trunk on the factory luggage rack on my '09 KLR 650 Kawasaki. The first trip out was a 1280 mile trip in Mexico riding the Copper Canyon. The trunk took a beating for 8 hard days and never gave any trouble. I took it off each night and the latches worked flawlessly. Since that trip the trunk has continued to serve me well on many dualsport rides in the middle GA and north GA areas. Great product with a good price. I give it an "A".

    Great Box

I ride my Honda scooter a LOT rain or shine. Installed the Honda rack extension & EMGO trunk myself, easy. Nice size equates to 35.69 liters. Mounts solid & has never fallen off. Waterproof; top overlaps. Detaches easily to take the box with you. Solid hinges. No rattles. The black mat stays looking nice & hasn't grayed from the sun. My only knocks are: 1-it doesn't have a padded back rest, & 2-the rear piece of red plastic looks like a deflector but isn't. Would I buy another? You bet.

Good trunk with a good amount of room

This is a nice trunk that fit and looked good on my '05 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad (mounted to accessory luggage rack). It provides a good amount of room and was easy to mount as well as remove the trunk. Unfortunately the clip on the mounting plate broke so I had to do a return but will replace with the same (and hope for better quality on the next mounting plate).

Buy it, Better than bags. If you don't have a rack turn your bag racks upside down and build off of them. thats what I did, with 1" alum. flat bar. Worked out great.

Good trunk, but clips & lock broke upon impact

While riding on streets of Brooklyn, I hit a small pothole in the road. Trunk came flying off, and sliding down the side of the road. Fortunately, the lock stayed secure because I had my camera bag enclosed with over $1000 of gear. Both the plastic bracket for the release valve under trunk and the left clip which holds trunk securely to mounting bracket on luggage rack, both pieces broke.
