Lacking in padding

Lacks in padding, the tailbone pad much too small and the hip pad much too small. I am fairly new at riding, tried a roof trail over large rock, fell and all my gear kept me from hurting myself except for these padded underwear. I ended up with an enormous bruise on my hip, just past the padded area. The pad area for hips & tailbone should be much larger. Especially the hips, it barely covers

It would be better if the bottom pad is much more bigger

Very comfortable.

These shorts are very comfortable. They kept me cool and comfortable all day on the trails in 100 degree heat on my 4 wheeler. They're so light I'll probably wear them even when just hiking.

My favorite shorts, however...

At 5-11 and 175lb the Medium fits great. They are extremely comfortable, breathe well, and the padding is adequate for this type of protective gear. HOWEVER, compared to my Troy Lee 7605 shorts, the build quality of the TLD shorts seems to be better. My wife has re-stitched the Titans in two places where the stitching began to pull out. For protection, I don't believe either pair is superior to the other. Nonetheless, the fit and feel of the Titans when riding makes them my prefered shorts.

These are the business

I wear these every day in DC for around town and commuting, under my dress pants and jeans, and I forget they're there. Took them to Africa last month for some grueling riding, and showered in them at the end of each day to keep them clean. They rocked the show. They still fit great, and the elastic and pads are still intact and resilient. I'm wearing them now. So yeah, I *will* buy another pair. If these sick little over-skivvies ever wear out. Nuff said.

Great Rash Protection/Poor Construction

The underwear fit well and is true to size. The padding in the crotch feels bulky while walking but is fairly comfortable once you're seated on the bike. Unfortunately, these shorts are falling apart after ten days of riding. The stitching that connects the elastic waistband to the pants is coming undone. If you suffer badly from saddle sore and don't mind having to routinely break out a needle and thread to repair your underwear, then these pants will work for you. Otherwise look elsewhere.

great all around

I got these for protection under my rip stops until I could get kevlar pants, but now I dont ride without them! The crotch has a chamois for sweat, and a groove in the foam so your junk doesnt go numb on longer rides. Made riding soooo much better and waaayy more comfortable!

Great Comfort but light on overall protection

I purchased these shorts for protection. Whereas they beat having no extra padding but I still feel they could be more robust in padding. However that is a complaint I have about padded shorts in general, I just don't see them being a protective as they need to be (compare to CE armor you see in the elbows of jackets). One feature I did not really expect of these shorts is that they are really comfortable to wear all day (even a week) in the saddle.

Best for the price

I looked at several models of padded shorts before deciding on these. As always, the Fox line does not disappointment! Fox is probably one of the best buys as far as quality and price is concerned. You want anything better than these you are going to have to pay big bucks. I'm satisfied with them. The sizing is pretty good as well.

Very nice padding and some mild protection. Especially good for long day rides over tough terrain. It provides for less gluteal discomfort by days end!!

Great Buy

Im a 31W and got the Medium and they fit great. NO more inserting hip pads in your pants, throw them out!! The butt pad feels a bit wierd when you put them on but once you start riding you wont notice its there and keeps from chaffing your bottom. Worth the $$$

Nice quality and purpose made

These shorts are exactly what I was looking for. Outer hip protection is what I needed on the sides since the stick-on pads inside my MX pants really don't stay in place, its just easier to put these on underneath any dirt pants or dual sport gear I have on.
