Just as reviews have said

It has redirected the air where the shield un-fogs much more quickly. Then somehow, after about 5 minutes, I am feeling a warmer air flow. I have to check other parts of the body to verify that it has not warmed up outside. Am very pleased. Great cost to value ratio.

Never in a million years did I ever think I’d be wearing a full face helmet and enjoy it while out riding. Very comfortable and good visibility. makes riding during the winter months bearable now.":~)

HJC Chin Curtain for Symax II Helmet

The product fits and performs as it should, keeping excess air from entering the helmet from the chin area on cool riding days. It seals off the air flow well, but the outside edges sometime catch on the helmet. I have to pull the edges out to make sure it seals as it should. Overall it does what is should and for not much money.

Great for keeping the wind from coming up the front of the helmet.

When I got it, it was kind of disappointing, it was smaller than pic. I thought that was waste of money. Put it on & shield fogged up, thought it wasn't supposed to. Finally one morning I installed it, sprayed shield with ant-fog and headed out (low40's). Boy I was surprised, face didn't get cold! It works. No dust gets in eyes now. Glad I bought it. I wear a scarf over my head tied under chin. Gave it 5 star on this. No problem flipping helmet up, stays on.

Fits Symax 3

This chin curtain is for the Symax 2 however, it also fits the Symax 3. Fits great for me. Helps to keep out cold air during the winter. I'm still going to have to get something for my neck but now with the chin curtain, I don't need to wear anything under the helmet to keep my chin, lips, and nose from freezing. Definitely worth the money. Fit perfectly in the helmet (as it should). Haven't had it long enough for durability test. Does what it is supposed to do.

Great addition

If you have a Symax II, buy this. Fit is perfect and it changes the air dynamics in the helmet very favorably. No more bugs suddenly swept inside and the helmet is quieter. Helmet will be a little warmer, but still ventilation is adequate. HJC should have included this with the original helmet, and I did not even know it was available until I saw it on the MC Superstore website.

5 star functionality

While you can pull it off by grabing the chin guard by the chin curtain, it stays in place quite well and does not get in the way. Helps on cooler days (down into the 4o's, and no noticeable issue with shield fogging. Even when temps are in the 70's it works just fine.

HJC Chin Curtain for Symax II/III

Easy to install, remarkable fit and function. Drastically reduces cold air flow to facial area. Only downside is having to reposition the mike every time I flip the helmet up. Great value.

Does not make a lot of difference in air flow upward unless I also wear my turtlefur balaclava. Then it does make a difference.

For 5 bucks? Why not?

I’ve never owned a helmet with a chin curtain before, and in my attempts to limit some wind noise I stumbled across this. They certainly are the end all be all of helmet accessories, but for what this costs... it’s a no brainer. Cuts some noise, and it’s great for cold weather.

HJC chin curtain

I bought this for an older CL-12 Helmet. It was a little difficult to press into place. Once in place, it is just what I was looking for. I have the Bluetooth Chatterbox and was getting some wind noise. Note I said "was".

Attached easily and provides some limited sound reduction. Unfortunately, I use a Scala Rider communications set on my helmet which has a boom mic. The chin curtain interferes with the mic.

Chin curtain for Symax2

Kind of hard to fit a chin curtain on a flip-up, but HJC was able to do it. I had purchased a chin curtain for my CL-SP last year and it worked great in the cold so I thought what the heck, why not try this one for the Symax? Seeing the price I knew it was not going to be the fix for the wind that comes up from my chest into the helmet. I took my bike out for a 15min (2hrs) ride to see how the engine felt after a valve job .It was a very windy day but I did notice a decrease in noise thru the chin area. It is NOT very secure in that every time you grab for your helmet by the chin guard it pops loose, but at this price who cares.

Fits fine, does make the helmet a bit quieter, and maybe a bit warmer in the cooler months.
