Just information, not a review

I recently purchased a Bell Star helmet the same time I purchased this transitions lens. I wanted to warn everyone of getting the wrong one, like I did. It said Bell Star, so I bought it. The new helmets this website is selling uses pinlock, not click release. Just a thought, they will NOT work together, entirely different system!

do yourself a favor GET THIS SHIELD........

I WOULD NOT WANT TO RIDE WITHOUT IT.it adjust to every light condition perfectly. And let's be honest, it looks super COOL. Considering it can save your life in the blinding sun, its well worth the money. Shihanicus Maximus.

Superb

I will probably never own another helmet without the Transitions visor. If I have to buy Bell helmets from now on to achieve that goal, then so be it. Well worth every penny. No more screwing with interior dark visors that don't fit, messing with sun glasses or switching out visors on the helmet.

Expect 1-2 years max before it starts degrading/not working

Greatest motorcycle invention since two wheels... Too bad it will only last 1-2 years before it starts fading and not turning 100% clear. Bell does not stand behind these. Either be prepared to buy a new one every year or have it not work 100%. I'm not even a high mileage rider, usually just my Sunday rides with the club and a few trackdays.

Wouldn't Leave Home Without It!

This is one of my favorite pieces of gear. I dropped my helmet and broke my Transition Shield and ordered up a new one straight away! I felt naked without it and it's a no brainer for me.

Bell Star/Vortex/RS-1/Qualifier and Revolver Helmet Transitions Photochromatic Shield

This is a bit pricey but works great. Used it in full sun, rain and pitch dark and it worked flawlessly. Nice to not need to carry two also. Two thumbs up!!!

Bell Photochromatic Faceshield

It's about time they came out with this type of shield. I wear prescription glasses. With this shield I don't have to carry both sunglasses and clear glasses during a ride that goes from daytime to nighttime.

Love it

This product solves the problem of what to do when your sunglasses won't fit under your helmet! Love that I don't have to take them off and put them on in the middle of a ride.

I think it's the best of both worlds. You never need to change it, it works for day and night riding.

MUST HAVE

This is the greatest shield I have ever owned. Transitions quickly, fit perfectly and is clear with no distortions. Love not having to carry an extra shield. No complaints. GET IT!

Install and forget about it

No need to carry two shields for day or night time riding. While I wish the shield was darker during the brightest sunlight, after a month of riding with the shield, I have never had an instance where the sunlight or glare distracted my vision, including when riding directly into early afternoon sunlight. It may not be 100% perfect since I would love for it to get about two shades darker, but I certainly don't miss carrying two shields around and honestly never notice the bright sun.

Perfect!

Just as you would expect from a Transitions lens. Very clear yet gets dark quickly. Optically clear, impressive.
