Scorpion - XDR Commander Jacket - I Live in this Jacket!

This Jacket looks sensational, and feels awesome. You will love wearing this jacket. It is not a Hot summer Jacket. But for the cooler and winter months, you will want to have this jacket on every time you ride. The jacket is pricey, but worth every penny. This Jacket comes with two liners. I only use the 3rd quilted liner for temperatures below 50. The 2nd line is all you need for 50 to 60. Above 60 degrees, just the jacket by itself. Do yourself a favor. If you are considering a jacket in this price range, buy the Scorpion XDR Commander Jacket. Your investment will last for many many years to come. Highest Quality!

After a year of searching

I have found this jacket to be the best deal for the money. Its features and finish are amazing. I own a very ahead of its time Arlen Ness Explored jacket and haven't found anything that came close in years. Now Scorpion, a company I associated with kind of cheap or low end stuff, surprised me. I ride a BMW R1200GS in all climates and conditions and this jacket can handle them all. Might be slightly heavy for ultra warm days but then I switch to perforated gear anyhow. The best feature is the storm collar which when it gets windy and cold covers the gap between your jacket and the bottom of your helmet. Check out this jacket. BTW. Measure yourself and go by the sizing guidelines. I usually wear a Med. this would have been too small and got a LRG based on measuring and it fits like a glove.

With a coat like this, who needs leather?!!

I've owned numerous coats in 20+ years of riding, this is easily the best I've owned. Fits like a glove. With liners in, certainly warm enough for chilly "winter" Florida mornings. With liners out, fine for when it warms up in the afternoon. Too many pockets? LOL!! Good ventilation. Love the neck protector do-dad. Well worth the $$$, you won't regret buying this fine coat!

Good buy

Water proof, excellent ventilation, lots of pockets and good extras. I have nothing bad to say about this jacket. I would buy another one and would highly recommend to anyone. I have the neon yellow and black; even though it is super bright and some people make fun it because of the brightness I have yet to have a close call or NOT have a vehicle see me.

Looking back after 2 years of use

I got one of these when it first came out. The fit is great with and without liners (I had tried one on in a shop before buying) and everything has held up over two years of use as my primary means of transportation 5 days a week 7+ months out of the year. The jacket has held up surprisingly well, the Velcro still holds great, snaps are crisp and all loops show no sign of wear. The jacket keeps me warm and toasty in torrential downpours at just above freezing, and all the way to warm summer days. I will admit when it was in the 90's and about 40% humidity it was a bit hot, but I think anything would be at those temps. The liner is waterproof, not the shell. This is something VERY important to keep in mind, though the shell does keep out most water, except at the arm zippers as has been stated before. It rides a little high on my when riding my street bike, but if quit being lazy and sew on the zipper that comes with these to make the pants work I am confident it would stop. That or I would have gotten a tall as I am 6'2. If you are looking for a versatile waterproof jacket for all but the warmest summer times, then this is your jacket.

XDR Commander - Commands Respect!

I love this jacket. I first purchased a large which was tight on my massive 5'10" 195lb frame. So I returned it for an XL and it fits much better. I'm impressed with the storage and adjustments this jacket offers. I’ve had this jacket for two months now and couldn’t be happier with the way it protects in the foulest weather. I commute 15 miles (one way) to work on my motorcycle almost every day on freeway and surface streets (barring ice on the roads or winds over 25mph) and this jacket makes that not only possible, but comfortable. My coldest commute so far has been at 28 degrees F on a rare dry day and this jacket’s layering, the rain liner, quilt liner and neck gaiter, kept me warm at 60 mph wearing only a dress shirt underneath. Most of my commuting has been in rain of varying severity. Again the performance of this jacket in steady rain is remarkable. I can’t wait for warmer weather to remove the rain liner and open the venting to see how this jacket performs in “nice” weather. If you ride in inclement weather and you want a jacket that is up to the task, the Commander XDR is it.

great jacket

I've been wearing this jacket for 4 years now. I couldn't ask for more. This jacket will keep you bone-dry, even in a downpour. It also has plenty of vents and pockets. 3-N-1 jacket - very warm. I have no intention of replacing this jacket anytime soon. 5's across the board for sure. If you can pick it up for 200-250 - it's well worth it.

Read the reviews before ordering and ordered a size larger. Also was delighted to see the jacket came in tall sizes which I need. Very comfortable, high visibility, and great fit.

Scorpion Commander

I bought this jacket and matching pants a couple years ago from Motorcycle Superstore. It has been my "go-to" outfit since I got it. At least over 20,000 miles so far. I am amazed at the quality and features of this jacket for the money! Good stuff. I carry the liners in a side case in better weather and have actually just slipped them on quickly under the jacket without zipping them in and got good results. More pockets than you will ever need.

XDR Jacket

I love this jacket. Sent the first one back because it just felt a little small. The second one was excellent, I have two leather jackets but this one feels the best. I ride at night a lot and this one keeps me warm and comfortable. I would recommend this jacket in a minute. Service was excellent. I'm looking forward to receiving the XDR pants.

Warm, system for tightening fit works great, like the thumb system for sleeve/glove fit. Only real issue have is that the elbow padding is so stiff, have trouble fastening helmet chin strap.
