Product Information

Sidi Vortice Air Boots

It was thought that the award winning Sidi Vertigo Corsa boot was the pinnacle of sport boot technology. Until today that is as Sidi is proud to introduce the next step in the evolutionary chain: The “Vortice”. The latest in technology combined with the great skill and workmanship of Sidi’s Italian based factory technicians’ blend in a whirl of fresh solutions to satisfy a rider’s desire for safety and comfort.

Features:
  • Constructed of Lorica and is lined with Teflon vented mesh. Only Sidi goes to trouble and expense of creating a multiple liner boot system in its racing boots. Lorica® is a composite micro fiber material created from strands that are so fine, each one is less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection
  • Sidi has added a small elastic panel to aid in a smooth zipper operation as it allows a bit of movement via the elastic as the zipper passes over the rider’s ankle ball
  • The rear upper part of the boot is made up of the following mechanisms:

    A) The TECNO CALF TENSIONER mechanism adjusts the leg circumference. Placed in the back of the boots upper, it works through a nylon wire that hooks directly to the shin plate;

    B) The TECNO SHIN TENSIONER mechanism helps the TECNO CALF TENSIONER close the leg upper on the front part of the boot. The two lateral nylon braces join the ankle joint with two screws that are protected by nylon caps. This system is reinforced with fiberglass, supports the ankle and is easy to replace. This system allows excellent flex movement front-to-back while being firm side-to-side.

  • Air Ventilation System: a third brace is positioned on the outer-lower part of the boot and features an air intake that can be operated by an aerodynamic shaped button
  • Tecno Instep Tensioner, a fastening system on the front part of the foot, on the instep
  • Shock Absorbing Heel Cup
  • Fully vented
  • Shin Plate
  • Gear Change Pad
  • Vortice Slider: toe slider is made in nylon reinforced with fiberglass. It is fitted with a new air intake and an innovative alloy insert
  • Racing SRS Sole: all new sole is constructed of a polyurethane and rubber blend
  • Currently Sidi products can only be shipped to U.S. customers
  • Item # 17316

Great Boots

I was extremely reluctant to spend the kind of money I did for these boots. But once I put them on I knew that they were worth every penny. They look great, they are amazingly comfortable and the replaceable components are a plus.

Sidi - Vortice Air Boots

Let me start off by saying these are top of the line, and you get what you pay for! I had a difficult time justifying the cost at $475; however, now that I have had a chance to ride with them and feel them out I am happy that I didn't go any other route. I did quite a bit of research on riding boots and every review I read said these boots were exceptional, and let me tell you they are. I normally wear between a size 9 and 10 depending on the manufacturer so I decided that I would go with a 9.5 and they were perfect. I live in the high desert and do most of my riding in the hot summer months. The air flow on these boots is incredible. The first time I put them on I was amazed at how well the air in my boot circulated, it felt nice. Right out of the box they fit perfectly and were comfortable. They do squeak just a little but this should not discourage you from purchasing these boots. In addition being able to purchase replaceable components on the boot is a great idea and Sidi has done an excellent job with these, you will not be disappointed!

The boots fit, and look awesome.

I bought these boots as something to protect my feet and lower leg while riding. The sizing on these boots is more of a tennis shoe size, I wear and ordered an eleven, and they fit JUST like my tennis shoes. Great boots, I have no cons, but I did notice, on my legs, (I'm in the military and have huge calves) the ankle isn't extremely tight, I'm used to having tight boots on my calves, now don't think your not going to be protected from rolling your ankle, these boots will keep you from doing that. Overall extremely happy with my purchase would purchase again.

Great boot!

These are VERY comfortable boots! If you are familiar with the Corsa these are very much like it with the exception of the added strap in the front above your ankle. Wear an 11.5 in this and both the street burner. These boots are very very good looking. The fact that you can replace everything on these ESPECIALLY the soles are great! For those that have aftermarket rear sets like Gilles, you know they will CHEW through soles... this is a great feature. Other than that I love these boots!

Great boots.

This was the most expensive pair of footwear I've ever bought. The boots are amazingly comfortable and once broken in, easy to walk in. I find it harder to point my toes than when wearing normal work boots, so it's harder to back the bike up, and I feel various parts of the boot that stick out catching on the heel guards on the bike, and is the only reason I gave them a "4" for "finish." They breath very well, even with the vents closed. With the vents open, I feel like all I have on are my socks. I can actually feel the breeze between my toes. The heel section of the sole is more narrow than a normal shoe, and the rubber is a bit harder. I will definitely buy them again and would recommend them to anyone that's able to fork over the coin.

SIDI VORTICE AIR BOOTS

Before buying I performed a thorough evaluation via web and online reviews. Even after all of that, I purchased the wrong size initially. Luckily, Motorcycle Superstores took my return and I was able to order the proper size. The product is fantastic. I have one leg smaller than the other and the boots provide the adjustment needed to compensate for this difference. Thanks to MSS, I'm now adequately protected!

SIDI VORTICE AIR BOOTS

Wow! Nice boots. I love them. I only wish there was a force field around the boots to keep them dry. I live in a place where rain is the norm.
