The problem is I wear glasses and it is pretty cold out. The nose part of the balaclava tends to direct my warm breath upward onto my glasses and fogs them up. So then I have to wear the balaclava down below my mouth anyway so I lose whatever benefit the custom nose part would provide. But I did not get a cold throat or chin so still an improvement!
Got this for my husband. He sweats gallons. We have very high end helmets that we like to protect. This does the job. It absorbs the sweat and keeps the grease out of the helmet material. What more can I say. We travel extensively. This washes in the shower with him and dries quickly for the next days ride. This is our second one.
This liner is very thin, single layer, and small in size! When I first pulled it out of the box, I though it was a Kippah,(Yarmulke) or jewish skull cap. I really did! I wear a Large helmet so I probably fall into the "Average" size head but this liner isn't big enough to even pull down and completely cover my ears. Needless to say, it falls short of covering the nape of your neck. Aside from the size, it appears to be decently made. I haven't worn it for a ride yet so I can't attest to it's wickking properties but will update this review if it's favorable.
