Should come on every dual sport/ motorcross bike.

A much needed upgrade for a DRZ400S. MX boots would not fit with the stock lever. Very well built and fit perfectly with case savers. Obviously not the lightest but felt very durable.

MSR Shifter on KLX 250S

Stock lever was way too short. With a little bending to get it closer to the case, this one is almost an inch longer. Works way better with MX boots on. For $21 it's a steal!!!

Replacement and Is better.

Laid my XR down when I was riding the trail and bent my stock foot shifter (Typical) Got this one and I like it better than my old one, Has a better grip and the black paint stays on (Like it doesn't turn silver very easy from over time) To be honest I am kinda glad I broke the stock one. for 21 bucks, This is one damn nice part!

This lever fit great. More positive grip than the stock. Used for a week now, will see if it holds up as long as the rest of the bike...

Not 1" longer

Very disappointed with this shifter. I wear size 13 boots (Gaerne leather boots) and was hoping the extra inch in the ad would help get the toe of my boot between the peg and the shifter. Turns out this was the same length as the shifter on my KLR650. Also it has a metal foot peg which is very harsh on the boots. Maybe it's a stock standard shifter for a whole lot of bikes- check the length before you buy it!!!

Drz400 + big feet = perfect

If you ride a drz400 and have big feet, this is the best upgrade you can do for 20 something bucks. I wear size 14 dirt bike boots and this allows me to shift MUCH easier. The 1" longer length really makes a big difference.

Ok but...

It fits my KLR-650 but the foot peg is so small I had to build it up with a rubber tube. I like the solid shaft construction. My last one used U-channel which bent.

Better than stock

It's a great shifter, replaced my stock one. Only issue was when I was tightening it down the threads stripped out on the back end. Had to use a slightly longer bolt and used a nut to secure it in place. Yes it's somewhat longer than stock.

Well made, fits '03DRZ400S perfect!

Bought a used DRZ400S & right off noticed how short the shifter was compared to my R1150GS since my boot was hard to get under the shifter. Found this one & it was a perfect fit & the added 1" length was just right. Haven't ridden it much since it's winter here so I can't comment on how it will hold up, but I haven't experienced any loosening yet that some others have mentioned.

MSR Steel shift lever 1989 KX 125

This is a good reasonable priced replacement for the buttery soft stock shift lever. Fit perfectly. Clamps tightly to the shifter shaft. Good price for a good replacement part.

Great for big feet

I wear size 14 and this lever makes shifting a snap. I had to bend it out a bit to clear the engine case but that took 2 seconds and a tire iron.

good product

I have bought a couple of these for my kids. Both were for xr100r hondas. Great improvement over the stock unit, and they haven't broke or bent one yet. Only issue I see is that the shifter isn't long enough for you to use mx boots riding.
