    Product Information

    Thor Motocross Impact Rig SE

The ultimate under-protector has arrived. Designed to offer maximum coverage yet hug your body, the Impact Rig SE concept is based on a form fitting micro-mesh chassis with integrated soft and hard protective panels that move with your body. Maximum airflow is achieved by utilizing venting on all 3 construction materials - the plastic, bio-foam, and chassis, are all vented. Removable kidney belt and permanently affixed elbow/forearm guards. Of course all that protection and venting is wasted if it’s not comfortable, so we paid close attention and utilized external seams on the chassis, elastic cuff stitching, and a lightly padded neck roll for maximum comfort. This unit offers the most coverage available in an under-protector.

    Features:
    • Micro-mesh chassis with external seams for comfort
    • Side mounted YKK chest zipper averts chest plate
    • Articulated back panel is removable
    • Poly-urethane shoulder caps with ram-air venting
    • Multiple tension straps for a secure fit
    • Molded bio-foam panels with extensive venting
    • Elastic cuff stitch for a comfortable seal
    • Padded collar for comfort
    • S/M fits most riders up to 160 lbs
    • L/XL fits most riders 160-180 lbs
    • 2XL/3XL fits most riders 180-250 lbs

    Sizing Tips

I'm 5'9", 160 lbs, medium/skinny build and am right on the line between large and medium/small. The large fits but if I weren't wearing anything under it I might be better with the medium/small. I like it, good protection, but the chest protector is too loose and can't be tightened well under the arms. Works ok with a small backpack.

    Impact Rig Update

After a dozen rides, fit is still great and quality is holding up. I've had no problems with the zippers on the kidney belt opening while riding. Just check to make sure they are fully closed when zipping up, and all is good. Great product, highly recommended!

    Great Fit

I purchased the Thor Impact Rig after returning the EVS G6 Balistic Jersey (fit poorly. I'm 5'10", 170 lbs and the SM/MED fits perfectly. It moves very well with my body and isn't as bulky as the EVS. I can hardly tell that it is on. As others have mentioned, the only drawback seems to be the side zippers for the kidney belt loosen and begin to unzip while riding. Just check em or throw some shoe goo on the zipper ends and you should be good to go.

    Thor Impact Rig

I am a large rider at 6ft 2" and 250 lbs. It is hard to get pads that fit. I ordered xxl and they fit fine. Price was ok we will see how they hold up after a season of woods riding. Thanks for a product that is true to the sizing.

    Great Product

It fits well but tends to ride up in the back a little. I dont really notice it and it looks kinds funny under a jersey when it does. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone. I might need to adjust the straps or something.

Great product but Needs longer fit

Love the armor. Just did a 5 day trip to Baja in it (longest prior was two days) and it was awesome and rode well. The ONLY drawback to me, is that the fabric is too short. It shold be at least as long as your shirts and able to tuck in or cover up your skin if wearing solo. Otherwise, great product.

Feel like a Super Hero :)

I really need to plan things a bit better I think. I bought this body armor, and the Thor shin / knee guards first. Then I bought Fox boots (can't wear them with the shin guards!) and I bought a TourMaster jacket, which has built in body armor! With that said, though, I did get to ride with the Impact Rig a few times, under my leather military flight jacket, and it was very comfortable, and gave me a safe feeling. And it makes me look huge :) hehe

    Thor impact rig

Fits great, I have a bionic neck brace and had to take the top two panels off the back protector. Its a little warm to ride in but the protection is well worth a little sweat.Have yet to find a Thor product that is not all quality for the price. Highly recommend!!! dress for the crash not the ride!!!

    Great riding suit

I took a solid spill on a rock trail and the suit protected me very well. It protects my elbows great. The mesh is very breathable. I ride in the suit with a tank top and I stay cool in the Texas heat. I am 6'2'', 210lbs, 33" waist and a large suit fits well. I would definitely recommend the suit.

    Good Quality but...

I'm a small-ish person (5'8") and I bought the s/m one of course, it fits great with all the buckles done up to the max but I have to take the back piece off as it pushes my whole suit up and bulges awkwardly near my shoulders (have a slightly shorter torso), and I'd rather not look like Igor at the track. Otherwise, great protection for great value if you want everything without going over budget!

    Impact Rig

I love this jacket! The only issues I have with it are, do I wear it on it's own or under a jersey. Also the mesh material is suspect whether it will last more than a year or two.But it fits great and is very comfortable.

    Thor Motocross Impact Rig SE

One of my biggest fears about riding trails is the stuff you don't see under the brush. i.e. rocks, branches and of course the stump pointing out towards you. I feel much more comfortable riding with this on. I forget that I even have it on. I feel no constrictions with a camel back on either. Good product!!
