Cortech GX Air Series 2 Jacket!

The jacket is SUPER COMFORTABLE. I can safely say that in the rain, you WILL stay dry; the water runs off the jacket like a duck's back, especially with the waterproof lining attached. The jacket breathes very well and even on hot days I can feel the air coming through and keeping me mostly cooled down. The winter liner that comes with the jacket is nice too, very thick and comfortable. I'm sure it'll do PERFECT for keeping me warm in the cold weather. I've had the jacket for about a month now and so far, I am super in love with it. It looks great, it feels great, and it has all the protection in the correct places, with more leather padding in the most important places. This is definitely an IDEAL textile jacket to own. The arms include tighter snaps in the bicep area and the forearm to keep the CE armor held in place against your arms, and not sliding around in case it happened to be a little too loose. Nice addition, especially because when you remove a liner, the fit of the jacket changes. I've had no problems with it. BUY IT!

Fits like a glove

I'm tall and skinny (6'2" - 150), so finding a jacket that fits has been a challenge. I got a small and the sleeve length is perfect. To be more accurate this should be called a small extra tall. Without the liners it feels like I’m wearing a t-shirt, with the liners its quite cozy. Comfortable and versatile.

This coat is Cool when it's Hot and Warm when it's Not! With no liners in the wind blows right thru, keeps you cool when it's Hot out. Put the rain liner in when it's cool in the mornings. I didn't get to try the coat in the rain so I don't know how well it works for that. Put the quilted liner in when it's cold and a couple good layers of my ski stuff under the coat. It was riding in low 40's high 30's and it worked great.

Outstanding Jacket

Bought this jacket in yellow/black, along with "HJC CS-R1 Daggar Helmet" and "Scorpion Cool Hand Mesh Gloves" to match my Ninja. Many positive comments on the whole look. I normally wear XL dress shirts but needed XXXL in this jacket, so order larger than normal. I have now put 1000 miles on this jacket and love it. The 2 inner liner layers kept me warm in the FL winter and now (April) I'm using it linerless. This jacket has great airflow so I think I'll be able to use it all summer too.

Excellent Buy

The shoulders and elbows are nicely armored in good quality leather, as is the spine. I am 5'7" 140lbs and size small fits me perfectly. This thing feels like it was made for me. The bicep and forearm have adjustability via the button snaps, and the velcro strips at the waist really made this a comfortable fit. I've been riding in the Arizona summer for a while now. The airflow through this jacket is amazing, I don't even feel the heat while moving. Excellent value.

Great jacket in the heat!

I absolutely love this jacket. I have been commuting to work here in Sicily where the afternoon temps are between 90 and 100 degrees, and I have been quite comfortable in this jacket. I have not tried the liners yet as it is too hot, but I am sure they will be great. I expected more reflective material than it has on it, but that is not a big complaint. I have also noticed that the velcro on the arms tends to pull up other patches of material on the front of the jacket if I let it touch. This makes it look fuzzy and worn. Other than that, a great jacket for the price!

Cortech - GX Air Series 2 Jacket

OK, Now if you ride all year round, (like I do) this is the jacket for you. It comes with two liners. One for cool weather and one for cold weather. Which both work great if used as needed. If you use it without any liner it's great for warm weather riding. Fit is true to size. And the leather appointments look and feel great and are placed for ultimate protection. As far as Durability goes time will tell, but from what I can see I'll be using this jacket for a long time...Also great value for the dollar.

Cortech GX Air Series 2

I had the opportunity to use the jacket on an 800 mile two day ride. The first day it was in the mid to upper 80's and sunny. The second day was a monsoon for a hundred or so miles then off and on drizzle. The jacket was great under both conditions. I bought it specifically for the hot weather and it was very comfortable, with excellent flowthrough--almost chilly at times. The next day I put the rain liner in and it worked well. Two comments on that, however. First, it would have been nice if the rain liner had gone a little up my neck and sealed there. I could see if you were in a day long rain water would eventually work it's way down through the neck area. Second it would be nice if the rain liner had pockets on the inside rather than outside. I didn't trust the outer pockets to keep my phone or iPod dry. Overall, though I'm very happy with the jacket.

great jacket

Over all a great jacket, been down to 35 degrees riding with it and still is very warm. Only gripe I have is the threads...there are a few stray ones that get in the way of the zipper but other than that, awesome. With both liners out, this jacket flows some great air. On an 80 or so degree day, as soon as you move you feel the air come thru. Obviously if it’s humid and 80-85, can’t expect it to be cool still. But not a lot of humidity and when it’s 80-85 degrees, I’ll be wearing mine as much as possible.

Happy

Got this jacket for its advertised versatility and so far, I am very happy with its performance! The temperatures here in Va have ranged from a sticky 95+ to a damp 46 and with the layered liners, it is doing the trick nicely. Lots of nice features with internal pockets on the Mesh Shell and the Quilted Liner. The leather at the shoulders and elbows is a nice touch, I get lots of comments on them. While, it was a little pricey for me, it was still worth the cost for the features and versatility.

Great jacket!

I originally bought a Medium (which is the normal jacket size I wear - 41 chest) however it was too loose for a motorcycle jacket so I returned it for a Small. I am very happy with the fit now. For 80-90 degree temps the jacket breathes very well as if you are not wearing anything! The elbow pads stay put with arm adjusters. Many pockets to hold stuff and very good lower waist straps keep the jacket secure while riding. My only 2 nits are as follows: 1) There is a Velcro tab at the top of the middle zipper (I guess to hold the zipper from flapping around). This tab does not stay stuck. 2) The sleeves close with a zipper and yet more velcro tabs. These tabs too are not as tight as they should be. Gloves with gauntlets (which I do not have yet) would make this second point moot. All-in-all I would recommend this jacket.

GOOD BUY

Jacket is comfortable, plenty of good features, and reasonably priced; I just wish they made one for women. I couldn't find a woman’s jacket made of mesh, with leather at the elbows, shoulders, and complete spine, with armor inserts. As a result, the arms are too long for me. Other than that, very pleased with it.
