Great Tire, Handles Heavy Loads Well

This tire must be changed in sets, with the rear matching the front due to a unique profile. Tire has great handling. Low low noise. Good wet weather traction. More rubber on the ground due to its profile. Highly recommend for heavy cruisers like the Honda VTX 1800. Sidewalls stand out.

AV71 on 2009 Harley FXSTC

I was a little cautious about putting this tire on the front since the OEM tire was a bias ply tire and this is a radial, but I was extremely pleased once I installed it. It seems to ride much smoother and handle much better with this tire than with the OEM bias ply. I don't know about the mileage yet because I just put it on, but I got a 50% mileage improvement out of the AV72 over the OEM that I put on the rear last year so I hope for similar results from this one. Far better than the OEM tires.

Avon AV71 and 72 Cobras

This is a new departure for me to go with Avons. The reason for this purchase is they're the only tire company that had the specs I was looking for and at a great price. They have been mounted on carbon fiber rims (18" and 21")which are just one of the special components on my custom show bike. These Avon tires work well with the overall look of the bike and will work well within the three digit speed numbers the bike will be running.

Best tires in the Universe

I have run these on my 2003 and 2009 V-rods. 10K both tires in the grinding Texas Hill Country. Our roads are rough! Chicken stripe is almost to the rim. Great tire. Kept me alive in Colorado during really nasty weather. I will never think of buying another tire. Avon reps responded well to my e-mails inquiries.

Cobra AV71 Front Tire (Goldwing)

Absolutely the best front tire for the Wing hands down. Just got back from a 2k mile trip and experienced all types of weather....Never a thought was given to the front end not sticking. Got 12.5 K out of the previous AV71. Didn't even give a thought about another brand.

AVON AV71 ON 2000 HARLEY FX WG

I think from the previous tire that was on, made me to choose the same tire again. No doubt this tire is the best around. For a Harley front tire, looks great and handles smooth.

Avon AV71 Cobra

I've had Venoms, E3's & std. Dunlop replacements. Avon handles the best of any I've tried. Venoms were worn out at 6500 miles. Dunlops at about 8500 miles and the Cobras still look good at over 10000. I may get a whole season on my VTX 1800C with these tires. It's a heavy bike and I ride moderately hard. I would recommend these tires to anyone with a big heavy bike.

Future owner

I know this is usually reserved for the people that have previously owned these tires but I thought I would change it up. I have been shopping around for a good set of tires to replace my Dunlops. After reading many reviews on many different brands I am Sold with the Cobras. I ordered the AV71 and AV72 for my VTX1800C. Thank you everyone for there detailed and honest reviews.

mileage

What do you guys do to your tires? Worn out at 8k miles? That was all I got out of the stock dumbflops that came on my Valk. I went with Venom R's and got something like 22k out of the first set. Second set I've got about 19k on and they still have some miles left before the wear bars indicate replacement. Still they feel like the handling is starting to change and i have a plug in the rear so I'm going to go with these Cobra's and hope they do as well as the Venom's have.

great tires

New tire for an '01 valkryie. Replaced avon venom. Great tire super grip. Only about 500 miles on it so far. I am taking it on a 2500 mile trip in a couple of week's. I will update the review after that trip. So far I am extremely happy with this purchase. Tires were delivered on time and in perfect condition. Would buy tires from motorcycle superstore again in the future. Highly recommended.

Great tire so far! Have only put 100 miles on it, but rode up some twisty mountain roads, and it handled beautifully!
