    Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Rear Tire

    Bridgestone brings you genuine MotoGP technology for the street with their new Battlax BT-016 Hypersport Performance Tires.
    • New multi-compound technology delivers the grip performance demanded in every aspect - braking, maximum side grip in cornering, and strong traction at the exit of a corner
    • Rear tire features a new triple compound (5LC) The center compound offers good stability, the shoulder compound transfers power to the road with strong traction while the edge compound offers strong side grip and solid contact feeling at extreme lean angles
    • The rear tires L shaped grooves enhance shock absorption and rear-end steering. Groove location not across tread center area provides both wet performance and strong traction. High speed durability is also maximized
    • The steel MS-BELT (mono-spiral belt) construction applied to front and rear tires absorbs sudden impact from bumps and offers high stability and tremendous line-holding in corners
    • HTSPC- ( High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord - Mono Spiral Belt ) technology in front and rear tire provides rich contact feel, strong grip and high-speed stability
    • 3D-CTDM ( Comprehensive Tire Design Method ) is advanced tire design technology that enables dynamic, three-dimensional simulations of tire performance at all lean angles
    • Compares to Dunlop Qualifier, Michelin Pilot Power/Pilot Sport HPX, Pirelli Diablo/Rosso, Metzeler Sportec M-3/M-1

    I first put these tires on my Suzuki Hayabusa, in late spring 2010, and immediately put them on the track at Road Atlanta, as I understood these were the street equivalent to the BT 003. Nevertheless; these tires stuck to the track and helped me prove to the street lawyers that the Hayabusa could corner well. Now three years later on the same tires, (though the front is ready for a change) the rear is still in Buisness. Believe it or Not!

    Bridgestone or nothing

    Great in the corners, terrific handling, a little lacking on wet roads. I get between 5,000 and 7,000 miles before replacement. Would be great to get closer to 8,000 or 10,0000 miles. Still a good tire and the price is good. I've also been on Dunlop =( and Pirelli =)

    Long life-good multi purpose tire BT-016 Pro

    5600 miles, is still not showing threads. Has done great in all weather. Had a mild step out on a gritty/dirty corner, but easily controlled and has taken dry clean corners much better than I thought. Not too good in sand but wet is fine if not dragging a knee. For serious cornering I would upgrade to a tire with track day ability like the 003, will try the S20 next, should do better in corners and have good longevity. 2012 BMW S1000RR.

    good tire, bent rim DRZ400sm,

    this tire is great, i put 1500 miles on it this month and theres plenty of tread left, and its 90-100degrees everyday when im riding. it sucks though cuz the day i put it on my rim got bent and has been out of true ever since.. so i cant vouch for it being smooth, cuz i been riding with a bounce in my rim

    4,000 miles

    I bought a set of these tires several years ago for my yamaha yzf600r. They handle very well and grip well in corners. I was happy with their performance but the tread life was disappointing. I ride a mix between highway and back roads, and enjoy riding my bike hard at times. I just hit the metal belt on the rear tire today without warning. This was only after about 4,000 miles. I will not be buying another set of these tires due to their tread life.

    stock tires on my 09 zx6r

    these tires came stock on my 2009 zx6r ninja, and I’ve put 10k miles on them here in Alaska, they are starting to wear now that I’m on my 4th year of riding up here where the roads aren’t great mind you, but I’m very happy with these tires, as far as the grip in wet conditions and when its warm out these tires just get super sticky, if you read reviews the bt016 is one of the best tires out there

    A Great Tire

    This tire came stock on my 2011 GSX-R 600. I really like this tire. I have 6,000 miles on this one, and it is just hitting the wear bars. I ride mostly straight country roads sometimes with my wife on the back and one trip to North Georgia to play in the mountains. This tire does feel slick when things are wet... but I'm sure most tires are like that. Sticks no matter the lean angle, as long as it's warm. No stripes and it never slipped.

    These tires are just Okay. Nothing special. They don’t last too long and don’t feel 100% cornering.

    Battlax Bad A$*

    I have ridden on the tires for about four years now, and they are some of the best that you can buy. I can agree that they are a little skiddish on the wet roads but have had no troubles yet. I corner aggressively and get a lean on and when the weather is nice I have complete trust in these tires. Tread life is alright about 5,000 from the back and 8,000 from the front which is more than I can say for a lot of the other brands. Great tire, great price, excellent performance!

    One Bad Tire!!!!!!!

    A friend has told me for over a year now to try this tire and I never would. I needed a new tire so I said why not and I am so glad I did. This is by far the best motorcycle tire I have ever used. This tire has super traction right out the garage without even getting it hot. If you love to ride the curves like I do this is the tire for you.

    Had this tire for couple months aka 2000 miles. Got it for the rear of my 2002 Sv650s. It does great. It seems to wear pretty nice and balanced good. Provides excellent stability and inspires confidence to really make it turn in well. No track days so I can’t comment on that tho.

    016 Front, S1000RR

    Good tire, no problems. Wore out quickly, 1974 miles but the HWY I ride is more to blame than the tire. Imagine 51 miles of chip sealed HWY twisties daily... yeah, tire eater. I have Metz M5's now but do have a full set of 016 at the ready. Bead to bead, a good tire, good grip, good feedback, good roll-in... great braking and wet traction. The hard accel off apex can be tricky at times for a matched set.

    ~~~~~
    overall, one awesome tyre, came stock on my 2012 Suzuki GSR750, now, I will admit, I haven't been going easy on it, eg: a lot of tight corners, and a little bit of touring, but the center of the rear is already on the depth indecators after 5500km, I understand they are a performance tyre, but I think the center compound isnt as hard as it possibly could be? So, thats my opinion, now off to find a replacement, either another BT016 or possibly something different
    Overall good tire but the tread life is not the greatest, only got 5500 miles out of the rear tire.
