a bit counter-intuitive..

I just mounted this and the matching tire on my bike, and so far, it's a great improvement over the balding 40/60's I had on before, however, the tread pattern is opposite of what I would think to be normal. The chevron pattern of the tread is opposite of the rear tire.. and yes, I made sure to have the rotation markings going the correct way on both. At any rate, it's working great, and cornering is a lot smoother than before. I think I'm going to have to do a little balancing still, but I have no complaints.

Tire

Having my third one mounted this Sunday at 29,500 miles. Great tire on the street, ok on the dirt but does like to wash out a bit. Lowering pressure helps.

Long life, best on street

This is the stock tire on my 2011 Suzuki DR650. It's ready for replacement after 12,300 miles of mostly highway commuting. It's great on the street, tracks straight, wears long, corners well, but it's lousy off-road. Got better when I put a knobbier tire on the rear to drive it, but still not what I would call an off-road tire. The tread life was great, but for "dual sport" application, it's not something I would choose again.

Trying to do a little bit of everything. But nothing perfectly

Only just mounted the front tire this weekend. With only 100 miles of asphalt seen, can only comment that this tire is OK on dry tarmac, but does roar just a subtle bit when starting to corner. About the same roar as the METZELER Saharas. Plan on taking this tire from Houston to MOAB and then off-road for another 600 miles or more. Will comment on how that goes when I get back.

Mr.

O.E.M. on my 2011 DRZ 400s. Took it off @ 10k miles so good mileage achieved. Great road tire ... Not-so-great off road tire. Lives up to its deathwing nickname off road. Very slippery in loose gravel, mud, sand, rocks and just about anything else off road. If you ride more on than off, this is the perfect dualsport tire. As a road tire i highly recommend but not for any other purpose.

Great front tire

I ride 90% highway 10% off road. Tire works great on highway. I ride very curvy highway. Handles great in the curves. Smooth ride on highway. I change tire when I change rear tire at 5000 miles. Tire starts to cup at 4000 mile. Best tire I have found for my DRZ400s.

Alaska on and off road

This tire did well on all surfaces, except mud. It cornered well on gravel, chipseal and dirt, as well as asphalt. I had hoped for a bit of a longer tread life.

80/20

And it lives up to its title. On-road, this tire is great. Quiet, stable, smooth and long-lasting. offroad; however, it has poor lateral stability (meaning you can easily slip into that hole you were trying to avoid, or rain-created gullies that cross diagonally across your path cause you unnecessary tension and stress). Hard packed or gravel surfaces are great with this tire. Sand, snow, mud, etc. not so much.

OEM's the best

I've never had an issue with the handling on the Bridgestone OEMs for this bike. Sticks like glue when I corner, rides smooth, and doesn't seem to freeze up in the winter (I ride all year). Only thing would be poor tread life on the rear. Keep in mind I do 90% road and when off-road it's gravel or packed dirt.

Death Wings

If you plan on going off road with this tire, don’t.... They’re very squirrely in the dirt, especially sand, no traction at all in mud. I’ve had the front tire drop out on fire roads because it couldn’t hold traction. On the road, it’s an OK tire, as long as it isn’t wet out. This is primarily a street tire with a little extra tread.
