Value For Money

Took this kit on a 4500Km trip through sub-Sahara West Africa. Portable, easy to use, great kit out in the open without external assistance. Had no tire problem myself but fixed 5 punctures of other bikers riding in the group. Never leave home without one.

Genuine Innovations-Street Tire Repair and inflation Kit

Ordered new tires and the inflation kit at the same time and wouldn't you know it, I picked up a sheet rock screw in my rear tire the very next day. When the tires and kit arrived I had to wait a couple of days before I could take the bike in to change the tires. I said to myself, self, this would be a good time to see just how good this repair kit is. Followed the instructions as printed and guess what? The plug slipped in just like advertised. I did let the glue sit for about thirty minutes before I put in air. Learned that back in the old days. Don't rush things.

GI - Street tire Repair saved the day

On a recent tour of the west, I had the opportunity to use the Genuine Innovations tire repair kit on a buddy's 2008 Kawasaki Concours 1400 rear tire. He picked up a nail along Interstate 15 in Salt Lake city, UT. His onboard tire pressure monitor alerted him to the problem and by the time he detected and removed the 10 penny nail from the center of the tread his tire was at zero psi. Within 15 minutes we were able to insert the plug and pump up the rear tire to 32 psi using only one of the two CO2 cartridges provided in the kit. Later he aired up (to 40psi) at a gas station and the plug held for the remaining 3000 miles of this trip. The kit performed exactly as advertised and the instructions were flawless.

nice product

Price was a bit much I thought, but hey what isn't. Haven't had to use it yet, but I like it and I feel comfortable about my purchase. A lot of people complain about the bag everything’s in so I thought I would type a guide. Put the T-handle tool upside down. Then put the 2 Co2 cartridges screw side down to where they rest next to the handle on each side. Then the spiked looking tool point first in the middle. Put everything else in the baggy that the tube patches come in, minus the air tip. And slip that in the middle front. Start sipping it up. It will be tight. Once half way closed slip the airtip in so it is in the best position to close the bag. Zip it up, and good to go. Be safe. And thank you for a great product.

GI-STR saves the day

I bought this item in 2005 and it has been part of my regular gear since. I have never had to use it until this past weekend and it performed perfectly. My brother had a puncture rolling down Route 66 in VA and lost all pressure in his rear tire in less than 30 seconds. We found the hole easily due to it being such a large hole in a brand new tire. Put 2 plugs in the hole due to its large size and inflated the tire using 3 of the 16g cartridges. Pulled into the next gas station aired up the remaining 5 PSI and let the tire sit while we had some dinner. The plugs held for the remaining 100 miles of the trip. I will never ride anywhere without this kit and suggest it to any one that rides.

Flated at Delemar Ghost Town

I was 50-miles out in the sticks and I had a pencil sized hole in rear tire on my BMW R1150GS. This kit saved me. I used one of the gummy worm plugs, no glue and a single 45-gram cartridge. The whole repair took less than 10 minutes and after topping the tire up at the first gas station I came to, I rode over 150-miles home with zero air loss. I'll be buying a couple more of the air cartridges and some fresh plugs, just in case.

Street tire Repair Kit

This kit has everything. Its a tight fit into the provided bag and is a little heavy, but it included just about everything you could possibly need.

Street Tire Repair Kit

Seems very well made, a little pricey for the contents. All the tools included don't quite fit into storage pouch. Doesn’t take up too much space in my saddle bags. Haven't had to use it yet.

Lots of stuff

I like the kit. I didn't really need the patch part of the kit since I have a tubeless tire, but the rest of the kit is nice. Somewhat big for the tail section of my Tuono, but I made it fit.

Good value

I have had one of these in all of my bikes and it has proved very useful on several occasions. The instructions are clear and the plugs have gone in easily and held up for as long as they were needed. Wear gloves when using the air cylinders though as they get very cold, very quick!

Looks good... hope I don't really need it...

I got the kit about a week after ordering, and all the parts appear to be of good quality, and at a reasonable price. The kit came recommended to me from some of my riding buddies. Fortunately, I haven't had to use it yet, so I can't personally attest to how easy it is to use. It looks good, though, and I've heard of quite a few problems with the mushroom style patches.

Everything looks good, I have not tried yet and I hope I never have to. I am planning on a 3,000 mile ride. The bag that comes with kit is worthless, you can't fit kit in it, I had to purchase another bag for the kit.

Right on time

I recently had to use this kit after a nail punctured the center of my tire. I was able to plug and inflate the tire with the CO2 cartridge in less than 15 minutes. This kit is a must have. The only issue is with the carrying case. It was difficult to fit all the components in the small bag, but with proper placement of the parts, they will fit and it will zip up with no problem!

Not too much to choose from

I have not had a chance to use this yet, but the kit ought to be able to get you back on the road for all but the nastiest punctures. Tools are not high quality and don't look like they will stand much abuse. Kit is awfully pricey too.

Blown Away

I had a nail in my rear 190 tire of my Triumph Daytona 955i. The repair kit was great and was easy to fix. The packaging is terrible as not all the stuff fits inside the bag. I had a foot pump handy so I did not have to use the Co2 canisters which is great as I could fit the kit under my tail. I am still riding on the tire as it has not lost any air, I figure I can get another 1,000 miles out of the sucker before I put on a new one.
