I didn't think I would ever like anything better than the Pirelli RT66 tires, but so far these are worth the little extra money. They don't go straight up the road as effortlessly as the 66's but the turn in on corners is amazing. I guess that's the difference in profiles between the two. The RT66's were giving me 12-15 thousand miles. If the Night Dragons can equal or better that then I'm sold.

Just turned 8,000 miles and they show very little wear. Performance is excellent in every way. I will continue to buy them for the life of my Yamaha V-Star. I love these tires.

    Great Tires...So far

I found the Pirelli Night Dragons to be excellent in rain. Overall I would say the tires are very stable and very smooth. The roads I have ridden so far have been pretty straight, so I cannot rate the cornering. I have not seen any concerns and any corners I took were no problem with the Night Dragons. What I don't know at this stage is the tread life. I am hoping they do better than the tires I replaced, which only got about 5,000 miles.

    Great so far

First time using this tire and very happy with it. Very smooth ride. Rode in a downpour of rain on The Dragon and they grip just fine wet or dry. Very happy so far. Can't comment on tread life yet.

    Fixed

I bought my motorcycle used with low mileage, but someone had already "upgraded" to a Dunlop rear tire. Today I picked my bike up from having the Pirelli Night Dragon installed. Before I left the parking lot the bike clearly handled better. Every complaint I had about my Yamaha Raider was fixed by changing to this tire. Poor straight line traction, fixed. Poor cornering, and corner stability, fixed. Poor low speed stability fixed. When you read the reviews that say it was like getting a new motorcycle you are naturally skeptical, but if you are running an inferior tire you might be writing this same review with a new Pirelli.

I bought this pair to replace my OEM's 2 years ago and have yet to have an issue.. The ride is great and and they still look new. Lots of tread left after about 4,000 miles. They stick great, and I am finally getting comfortable riding in the rain. (When I HAVE to.) Looking to buy another set next year.

On my Vulcan 900 Classic I have the rear with around 13,000 miles and still not on wear bumps. Also the front with 10,000 miles and it still looks and feels new. Too good to be true? It is true.

Terrific tire. Cannot attest to mileage just yet but handling and performance outweigh my old Dunlop's by far. I am more comfortable riding on this tire and the size options allowed for a little wider tire that looks way better than stock.

    Great tires!

Just put these tires on a few weeks ago and love them! Seem super sticky hold great on corners! So far I don't have anything negative about them. Now the test is what's the longevity to these tires.

Tires ride smoother and were quieter than the OE Dunlops. However the cold handling characteristics can be a bit unnerving, can't count on them when they're cold. I got 14K out of the Dunlops with the front tire wearing out first. I only got 8K before the rear was completely gone. Probably my last set.

    Recommend to friends

Put this on the same time as the front of course. Like I said in that review, the change in all aspects is amazing. After 50 plus years of riding I have found my tires.

    I'll never purchase another tire.

I ride a 2012 Ultra Classic mostly two up. I'm a 275 lb guy with a wife that likes to pack a good 100 lbs. of gear to go along with her 130lb frame. I got a set of these after a friend recommended them. I seriously felt like I was riding on a marble. Nice and round without the Dunlop dip. The first 50 miles, I rode easy to get the slick off, then took a trip from NW Washington State to San Francisco, CA. Took the roads less traveled. From Washington it rained all the way to NW Oregon. Then snow over the pass into NE Oregon. Followed super hot through Eastern Oregon, Nevada and California. I rode pretty much every terrain possible for a touring bike, including sand on the road outside Virginia City, NV. These babies never broke loose once, even doing 70 around 30 mph curves. Nice and responsive, smooth, quiet ride, good tread life. No better tire out there in my opinion.
