Pirelli Night Dragon 180 / 60 / 17

I LOVE this tire.It grips better than any other tire that I personally have used.i am 60. N have been riding for 50of those yr.s. Most tires with the kind of traction the Night Dragon offers, won't last a summer's season. In Alabama, bike season is All yr., For real, bike enthusiast. With Other brands; a similar type of tire, is over done by 3,000 miles. The Night Dragon, on the rear of my 08, Dyna Super GLIDE has given me over; 6,100 SAFE, reliable, comfortable, riding pleasurable miles. So far, it has taken me from the shoals area, in Alabama, to Lake Erie,Ohio for bike week,& back, at 75 - 80 mph.all the way... lol. In June. A hot month. Lotsa raining the trip. Also 3 mo.s of riding the hills and mountains of Tenn.& Ala.b before we took the Ohio trip. & Thru, up till now.almost April of 2017. I'm ready for a second set. The Pirelli, Night Dragon, is All I could ask for in a Mc.tire. EXCEPT for, a longer milage tire. We shouldn't have to replace a tire, THAT cost more than a 40,000 mi. Car tire, every 5, or 6k miles.that being said.its the best cornering stability, Mc.tire made. IMO.

Great tire for the price! Great overall traction, and wear. This tire was put on a 2012 HD Wide Glide where tire brands, and size are limited. Great replacement for the factory tire, and much less.

Slip slidin' away, slip slidin' awayeya!

I bought a used '01 HD Dyna Low Rider with Night Dragons on front/rear that had tons of tread left. The rear tire has to be the most slippery tire I have EVER ridden on. I've been riding 15 years and have owned over 20 bikes. If you put any above normal braking on the rear, the tire lets loose. If you take a turn, the tire lets loose. If you get stuck in the rain, forget about...you're screwed. Even though the tires look nice and have a lot of tread left, I'm spending the $ now to replace both tires and not kill myself. I read that HD recommends the Night Dragons when running Pirelli tires...they must have a financial agreement cuz the Night Dragons SUUUUCK!

Exactly what I was looking for.

I recently switched over from a Sport Bike to a 2012 Harley Vrod with a 240 rear tire. This tire brought back the performance and cornering I was used to even with this wide rear tire. To be fair the old tire was the original Harley tire, 4 years old and had 5000 miles on it. I now have the wide rear tire and still corner very well. The lean went from being forceful and unpredictable to smooth and controlled. I have only been on this tire for about a month and look forward to putting it through its paces.

Awesome tire except for tread life

This is a awesome handling and looking tire. Only drawback is I only got 3000 miles out of it. Touring bike and not driving hard. Just leisurely rides ion the back roads and highways. I feel it's 170 bucks wasted with no more life than I got out of it. Going with something a bit more durable this time.

Pirelli Night Dragons

I have a 2000 Road King, I switched from Dunlap to Metzeler 880 I had very good luck with that tire but the increased tire pressure that is recommended for my bike (not the max inflation that is on the side) does give a harder ride. I purchased 2 Pirelli Night Dragons and the ride was very good the handling was good but the wear issue I would give to the Metzeler. Performance is close on both products.I have 100,00 miles on my bike it is not unusual for me to take a trip of 4,000 miles, I have taken several. A new tire on the rear is a must before I leave. I always match my tires it is the only way, 2 rears for every front. Stock Dunlap was the worst riding tire on my bike I would tell anyone that for sure.

Purchased 2010 Harley Wide glide April 2014 with only 2500 original miles. Dunlap's front and rear. First trip from San Angelo, TX. to Terlingua and back. Nearly killed myself trying to make turns. One more trip to Texas Hill Country and I had enough. Manufacture should be hung with a rope. Harley also, for approving this product. Ordered Night Dragon front and rear. Was like night and day. Road Lubbock, Gila National Park New Mexico, Ruidoso back to Lubbock. Lots of rain and lots of heat. I trust these tires and what a confidence builder. One or two long rides and it will be time to reorder. Thanks Big Time "Pirelli Night Dragons". 5,200 miles. Ric W. Hard Ride Chronicles

Kinda Bummed

Had ordered a pair of pirelli's before and raved about them, I think I may have sold a dozen pair to my friends at Harley. Rear tire was ready to replace and I ordered another. Got it in and checked date code on tire and found out it was 3 years old...Rubber was a little hard. Definitely not as sticky as the last set. Night Dragons gave my Fat Bob a rider's edge in going through the turns that I am not as comfortable with this round. Will definitely make sure I get a fresher set next time.

Great Tires

Excellent tires. The tire contact patch is the only thing between you and road rash...or worse.... I've been riding for over 40 years. ride dirt, sport bikes, and Harleys. The Pirelli Night Dragons are what I buy for the street. They stick...they stop... they turn.... they are predictable. Wet or dry. wear a bit fast, but that's the price you pay for sticky tires. My bike and I are worth the few extra dollars, and the riding is far more enjoyable when you aren't worried about the road......

Night dragon

I installed a front night dragon with no change in the stability. Later I put a new night dragon on the rear with drastic changes in stability. The 2008 road King cvo feels like I'm on ice. At about 65 the front starts to wobble. I never had this issue in the past.

Night Dragon tires

I went through several sets of dunlops on my Wide Glide and I got tired of the price and low mileage. I found Pirelli Night Dragons for a lot less, about 7 thousand miles ago. Already 2 thousand more than dunlop. I still have about 1 thousand more to go on the rear tire but came back today to buy another rear tire. as a side note I also found out that you can't run the tire on the air pressure it says on the side wall. It makes for a rough ride.
