Good lever but...

This is a good lever. It's well made, of good materials, and is well finished. It fit on very easily in place of the stock lever. I had a problem with it on my 2006 KLR650. If I put it in the same place on the splines of the shaft as the original, it hit the frame when I tried to go into first. If I move it up to the next spline, it's a bit too high for my boot. Later, I plan to grind a little bit of it away so it fits at the lower position. Overall, I'd recommend this lever.

Works for DR350 - after mods

Purchased because the parts finder said this would fit on my '98 DR350SE. It does not clear the case in stock form. It required some bending to get it to that point. Definitely less slop on the shaft than the stock lever. Haven't dropped the bike on the lever yet so can't speak to its durability, though the ease with which I bent it does make me slightly concerned. Installation was a bit of a pain, but I think that's because it fits the splines more snugly than the stock lever.

Perfect fit!!

Perfect fit for the 2012 KLR and my size 11 boot. Easy install........remember the bolt that clamps the spline tight comes ALL the way out. Check down shifting before tightening to ensure the shift arm does not hit the frame. Much easier shifting and the lever is plenty far away from the side engine case.

Perfect solution

I bought my KLR650 from a gent who let it fall in a lot and bent the bars and shifter tip. While I was able to bend the stock back I wasn't comfortable with it after doing so. The IMS unit is superior to stock in every way! Better materials, the weld is super solid compared to factory, and the extra length made it easy for me to ride with my Sidi MX boots on.

04 KLR 650

Much better than stock. Looks better and shifting is more sensitive. Great for my 2nd gear mis-shifts into neutral. Worth the price. A nice upgrade and the KAWA needs upgrades.

Won't fit a CR85 without modding. Works, had to bend it into shape to clear cases.

works for me!

I have big feet and the additional lever length makes this a perfect fit for my foot size. It is well made and designed with the rider in mind. Very cool indeed!

Good level bad quality

Same length as stock one which is a negative in itself, and the lever is to thick. Installed it on the KLX400 and couldnt replace the sprocket/chain guard next to the engine cover. It would have to be rotate in such a way that I would no longer be able to get my toe under to change gears Nice quality though

Great

I bought this shifter to replace the linkage setup on my 03 Yamaha Raptor. It works great. Shift feel is a lot better and I don't miss shifts anymore because the linkage was sloppy. I'm really happy with the product.
