Buying helmets for the whole family. This was the 3rd helmet we purchased and I wish I had looked at Gmax first. Great quality helmet good price. Purchased for my 13yo daughter (Medium) and if fits well. She also wears glasses and the fit was snug enough to not be sloppy but still had enough room for her to wear her prescription glasses without any issues. Nice finish, overall very satisfied with the purchase.

Awesome value. fit runs a bit small. All of my other helmets are XL, so I assumed this would be the same. Although it fits snug, I could have sized up like others suggested. Overall, excellent value, above average appearance and ordering a few more for the kids.

Bought the helmet for the advanced technology and safety. The features, fit, and finish are great. Increased venting ports are plus. However, after a minor incident the helmet barely made contact with the ground cause a minor scratch on visor. The problem was that the paint began flaking (it would pull off in huge flaces). The impact was not enough to cause flex in the visor which could lead to such flaking. I contacted the seller and they said that this is a known issue and the 6D does not consider it a material defect. I disagree 100%. The flaking occurred on the opposite side of the minor scratch which had zero contact with the ground. For a helmet in this price point, I would expect greater quality in construction. In my opinion this is a good helmet to protect your melon on impact. Just be ready to buy a new one afterwards. I will opt for a cheaper helmet with all the features of the 6D minus the omni directional feature, which is really what your paying for. 6D is a sub par helmet for the price.

I am new to dual sport riding and wanted to get a new helmet that wouldn't break the bank. I ordered the GMax in hopes that it would fit and get the job done as my first, entry level DS helmet. It has exceeded my expectations. The helmet looks great! Shipping was very quick, and the helmet fit great on my head (M). The size guide was true to measurement. The only gripe I had with the fit was the 20mm cheek pads that come stock. They squeezed my cheeks too much to where I couldn't bite down without biting my cheek. But no worries, for $15 I ordered skinnier GMax cheek pads (10mm), and now the helmet fits like a glove! I also purchased the smoke tint replacement screen, too. Helmet and extra accessories all for right around $150. I haven't been able to go on a long mile ride yet, so I am not sure how comfort is going to be for a long ride. Around town, there is no discomfort on my head. The visor does catch the wind when going highway speeds. The first highway speed ride with the visor on led to the visor screws becoming a little loose which led to annoying rattling, but after tightening them back before continuing my ride, that was no longer an issue and it did not happen again. If the visor is in the way or catching the wind too much, a quick 2 minute drill with a Phillips screwdriver takes the visor off, and gives the helmet a mean, clean street fighter look. Wind noise with this helmet is not bad. I rode cruisers with half helmets before this, so really it is a nice quiet change for me. I haven't experienced how the airflow is during hot days. With it still winter time, and with the vents closed, the helmet does a great job of keeping the cold air out for an entry level helmet. The only air I feel is coming from up under the chin guard, but a buff around my neck and up on my chin stops that. The windscreen has a good seal and sit on the helmet, and I do not feel any air coming from where the screen sits. All in all, I am really glad I have purchased this helmet! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a budget friendly, entry level helmet.
