I just got the new tires put on my trike and I couldn't believe the improvement in the handling.I haven't had them long enough to evaluate the tread life but I suspect they will hold up well.great deal!

I decided to give these tires a try because they were the lowest priced V-rated touring tires I've ever seen. So far I've only run them for 200 miles but the ride and handling is excellent. Cornering is excellent. Got caught in the rain and the wet traction was also excellent. Although I gave a 5 on tread life, I don't really know how they're going to do, but at the ridiculously low price I paid for them, I really don't care. If they come even close to other cheap tires I've run in the past, I'll be happy cuz I'll have gotten my money's worth. I really don't think you can go wrong with this deal.

Great tire for a great price, handles well and looks good. Sure it’s not a hardcore race tire and all that stuff, but it is a good tire that performs well and adequately enough. I’m diggin them, I’d buy again. the only thing I noticed was that it was a little wider than the 140 I took off in the back, so the edge of the tread (about 1/16") rubs on my drive shaft a bit, but not an issue as it will rub off that 1/16 after a few rides. overall great tire at a great price.

Ironically I bought this tire because it was half as much as the Dunlop qualifier that normally shoe the 'Max (I'm hard on tires, going through a rear every 1500 miles or so). This tire's grip is phenomenal. Even on a Yamaha Vmax under 4,000+ RPM launches the tire GRABS and lifts the bike. I spent 15 minutes trying to do a burn out with it, an all it does is push the bike forwards and smear the Dunlop on the front. I'm going to be replacing the front with the matching Shinko.

Regardless of the price, I love these tires. I ride my 02 Honda Sabre in the mountains a lot. I've been in some real toad stranglers and traction has been great. Dry traction is great as well. These tires stick. Have about 1500 miles on the set and they still look good. Highly recommended! I will buy these again!

I bought this tire in mid-June 2009. It is now April 2011. I have finally seen the tread wear down to the point that the center grove is all but there - so it's time to replace it, of course. All in all, I've logged over 8,000 miles on this rear tire. I've ordered its replacement and look forward to putting another 8,000 miles on it, too! Order the Shinko line of tires; you will not be disappointed.

I have this one on my Yamaha and just about 6000 miles on it and just a bit of wear, rides good in all weather and I've been in dome real down pores. Beats the Dunlop I had on it. I have a Dunlop on the Honda and am about to change to the Shinko 230. Don't get me wrong, the Dunlop is a good tire but the Shinko handles better.

My 06 Shadow Spirit 750 got OE Dunlop 12k, the D404 got 9k and so far these Shinko 230s have about 12k. One day got to test dry, wet, and snow traction in about an hour’s time. Springtime in Denver. By the time I got home there was an inch of snow on the road reaching speeds of 35mph. Very impressed! I love these Shinkos!

The guy who owns the local cycle shop that installed my new tires gave me a hard time about replacing my old dunlops with these tires. He said, "You had the best tire made and now your replacing it with the cheapest ones made". I chuckled and said, "Have you seen the reviews these tour masters have gotten on Motorcycle Superstore? I saved $200+ buying these, you're just mad because I didn't buy tires from you". These tires perform great.

Great looking tire, just what I wanted.

What a good looking tire. I know, we don't buy them because they look god but I had to share. Rides great, super traction and very quiet. Replaced a Metzler ME880 and I do believe this tire runs quieter and smoother than the Metz. If it gets decent wear, I will surely buy another one.

I'm greatly impressed with this tire. I have a 07' 1100 V-Star and have used Dunlop 404's in the past (averaged 4000-6000 miles) I put the Shinko 230 on the rear last year and couldn't be happier. I used to replace my rear tire every 6 months, the Shinko lasted a full year. I currently have 6500 on the Shinko and still going. I estimate I'm going to get about 8000 total out of this tire. Incredible traction in all conditions.

On my bike, 1983 Yamaha Virago, these tires blow the Dunlap 404s I had on out of the water. Cornering at faster speeds without even trying. They just roll over sweet and hold. I don't know about tread life but they handle so much better than the Dunlap's. Even if I get half the mileage they were half the price. GREAT TIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They just happen to be very economically priced also!

Awesome tread life and I rode on all different types of roads, gravel, dirt, chip seal, proper tarmac, concrete, and in all conditions on all different types of roads it handled well and wore well. Handled the Dempster well. This really honestly is a great tire, buy the matching set, the fronts are great as well.

I bought the Shinko 230 Road Master front tire after having run the Road Master on the back for about 1000 miles. I do a lot of highway and city driving combined and I am impressed with the handling of the tires. The front has only been on for a few hundred miles but I can feel the difference in the handling and stability. I can't comment on the tread life but as far as the rest of the tire goes I am very impressed and will be buying the 230 Road Master again.

This is the second (rear) Shinko 230 Tour Master I have put on my 2009 VN900 classic. I was very pleased with the first one and for the price, I can not see using anything else. I got approx. 6000 miles out of my first one and this time I replaced front and rear with the Shinko 230. The ride quality and traction (after breakin)is supurb for my style of driving. Cruising, non aggressive cornering.

I have only had the tire for less than 500 hundred miles but it seems to handle very well. Looks great and very meaty. The Dunlop it replaced felt unstable but this one resolved that issue. It is wide and provides for steeper banking. Overall, I'm quite happy with it and feel it's a lot of tire for the price. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase Shinko. Too new to determine tread life.

Just replaced Dunlop 404's on an 1100 Shadow. Too new to rate wear and wet traction, but everything else is a drastic improvement over the Dunlop’s, so I gave all 5 stars in anticipation. City and highway speeds are smooth and quiet, cornering is intuitive and responsive. I was surprised during a U-turn that scraping the peg was comfortable; I never felt the Dunlop’s were stable enough to handle that lean angle. If I get 5k miles out of the rear, the mileage will be better than the Dunlop.

Most guys you talk to laugh and scoff when you mention SHINKO...keep in mind that most of these guys will probably be lucky to put 2000 mile on in a year, yet they are all-knowing about all things motorcycle! I ride about 15,000 miles a year and this is the best tire I have EVER had on the bike. I got tired paying high dollar and getting low value for the big name tires. With about 1500 miles so far...Great traction, Handling, Stability, and life seems to be on track for better than average!

I got 6,000 miles out of the first one. Handling and traction is top notch. Dunlops and Bridgestone cost alot more and I've never gotten over 4,500 miles out of them. I'm running Shinko from now on. Best tire and best price IMHO.

I replaced a factory Dunlop on my 2000 dyna wide glide. It performs the same if not better than the dunlop. Smoother ride, great traction. I gave the tread life a 5 but cant really rate that yet. Well worth the money and I personally think its a better looking tire.

Got a Shinko rear tire for my 2007 V Star and am very pleased. Switched from a Bridgestone because of the price. Only 500 miles on it so far and have already tried it out in the mnts of NC. Tire grips the road and handles like a dream. Can't comment yet on wet traction or treadlife but will see soon enough. Already purchased a matching Shinko front tire to replace the noisy rough riding metzler that's only been on for a year and has dry rot cracks all the way around.

I installed the Shinko 230 Tour Master tires on my 2006 Suzuki Boulevard C50T and I am very happy with the way they handle in every aspect of riding. I have ridden in all weather conditions and temperatures and on all types of back roads and highways with no problems whatsoever. I have 6,000 miles on the back tire and slightly less on the front. The back tire will need replacing by 8,000 miles but for half the price of other tires that give me the same mileage I will stick with the Shinkos.

Great tire in the Twisties and very stable at High Speeds in the Straights. As for Mileage I got between 4500-5000 out of each Rear which is about the same as any other Rear I have ever used on my Vmax.

The current set has done well from the last 1.5 yrs. on them with constant riding. Tread life has continued to shock me every time I fire up the old bike. I would recommend this set on a touring ride of any kind

I rated tread life at 4 due to the fact I have not seen how many miles I can actually get out of it, but I liked the tire enough I ordered another tire for the front which I am installing today.

I just put a 500 mile ride through Glacier National Park and northwestern Montana. The tire is the best I've tried yet. It is far superior to the stock HD Dunlop’s, the regular Dunlop’s and the Meltzer’s I was running previously. I don't know about the wear rating yet, but I love the tire. I can't wait for my front to wear out so I can put one of these up front.

Great stability at high Speeds and in the corners, traction wet or dry is also excellent. Tread life for the first two was around 4500 Miles, which is as good as any Rear Tire I have ever used on my V Max.

I have a customized Honda VTX 1300c.I give my tires a good workout. Because of cost I decided to give these Shinkos a try. What a difference! I feel confident riding on curved roads even in the rain. I haven’t felt the tires slip once in the 4000+ miles that I've put on them so far. Tread life (TP 40lbs). So far so good. Still have plenty on the tire. Would definitely buy these tires again.

This is the second set on my 1980 Suzuki GS1100e. I ride about 15k a year, so tire wear matters a great deal to me. The bike weighs about 550 lbs and has 100 hp. I get about 8-9k on the rear, and 14-16k on the front. The round profile helps the handling and makes the bike roll into turns very evenly. Naturally, as the tire wears a flat spot, it is not as good. I suspect that those getting low may be under inflating. I run mine in the high 30's psi consistently and get very good wear.

They are smooth riding tires. Not sure about tread life at this time is why I gave it a four on that. Looks like I should get about 10,000 to 14,000 miles before having to replace.

So I get a fresh set every year. For the price, you get top end performance from little coin. Bridgestone and Michelin lasted only 9k with my riding style. SHINKO FOREVER!

Well, the tire is just spectacular on cornering, as the softness of tire gives it great gripping capability on the road in wet and dry conditions. This is a great winter tire, as well. I ride very aggressively and feel very comfortable exceeding high speeds on this tire. I have been through 2 back tires, and had no issues with egging or uneven wear. Unfortunately, my riding style, along with my 1980 Police bike, I wear a rear tire out in less than 6,000 miles. I tried a Dunlop 404 and it didnt even come close to the handling of the Shinko, and wore just as fast. These tires just cannot be beat for the price!!!

These Tires Rock......I use Shinkos exclusively on all my bikes, but was worried about the tread pattern in the rain of the Tourmaster 230. After a few miles (4 to be exact) wear-in I was forced to lean deep enough to drag my pegs on a 96 Intruder 1400 and they stuck like glue even on the freshly wet road. I was ready for road rash and all I got was another reason to keep using these tires. Can't wait for the tires to really be ready for leaning.

A few years ago, I chose to try Shinko tires on a CBR. I was surprised that they handled as good as the Dunlop Qualifier and wore better than Continentals. I bought these to put on my wife's V-Star to replace her Dunlop’s. At first, they felt very unsteady, but after only a few miles of break-in, they handle GREAT even while dragging the footboards. Great tires for a great price.

Corners so much smoother than the qualifiers I took off. I would highly recommend these to anyone. By the way my bike is a 2002 Kawasaki Voyager XII, and its about 900lbs.!!! Over my old tire, the one I bought the used bike with, it skid with barely any break and the wet traction was very bad, I could feel it slipping around. No slippage on this tire and have yet to skid. The only complaint I have about this tire is this: Living in Oklahoma can be a pain while riding because of the wind and temperatures. One day I went on a nice long ride and after about an hour I pulled over and saw that since the wind had been blowing my bike sideways the sides of the tire had started to melt and shred, but the middle was fine. I probably WONT buy this tire again but not everyone has a little light, wind-catching bike like mine.

I bought this tire and installed it on my 98 Honda shadow aero 1100. It rides amazingly well for the price. Rode in wet- handles pretty good. I only have 1k miles on but is wearing well.

This is my second shinko rear tire. The tire is the best buy for your money. Tread life not the best but a sticky tire wont last as long as some. I ride a 1100Vstar I got 7000 miles on the last one. And that stock tire I only got 7800 miles, so Overall I will keep buying this one.

Seems like a very good tire at a great price. Rated tread wear avg only because I have not had them very long. I will definitely buy them again if tread wear is decent.

Very good tire on my V45 Sabre. Solid on wet and dry, even in the winter cold. Balanced and fit great. Flat profile requires more input to fall into corners than more pointed tires. Does track well in corners and very predictable on all surfaces. Stable to high speeds. After 6k front is 90% rear has 40% left. Tire is best with plenty of air. I prefer these to Dunlop 404's across the board, and they are better than Shinko 712's in the wet and are more sticky on dry. 712's corner easier.

I put this on the front 10/2011 and had done very well I put the back on 11/2011 and the tread is ok but the tire has split, not many miles on it this year. Did not work for 8 months so not much daily riding

Decided to try this tire for a summer. I generally ride about 10,000 miles per year and use up a rear tire every year. If this one lasts the summer I'll be thrilled considering I paid half the cost of the Conti tire I ran last year. So far only 200 miles but looks good and the nubs aren't worn off yet. I might raise the mileage rating after I drive it for a while.

This is my 3rd Shinko rear tire. It is great except for a very short tread life about 3,000 miles. However the one on the front of my Harley Heritage last about 20,000 miles I do not do burnouts or jack rabbit starts they just do not last on the rear. Great price compared to Dunlop’s, that only get me 5,000 miles.

These tire's are great!!! Replaced Dunlop 404's with Tour Master 230's. I gotta say I wasn't expecting the tires I got for the price I paid. They corner better than dunlops. Even if they only last one season I still come out ahead on price..Can't Comment on tread life yet Because I only have 200 miles on them as of today.

I just put the matching pair on mr S83 Suzuki. I cannot believe the improvement in ride. The bike walks through turns with confidence. I am talking atleast 20 km faster. I know it is a cruiser, but it is also a fast cruiser. I cannot talk about tread life as I just have few hundred miles. The last set of Kenda tire worn well but did not give the same ride. If these are anywhere near the in wear then they are great. Also got them when on sale. $149 for front and rear. What a deal.

Bought this tire for the price as I ride on a budget and I couldn't be happier with the performance. I was a little wary this being a touring tire but it has great traction and handling. I can't speak to the tread life much as I don't have that many miles on it yet but so far so good.

This is the third Tourmaster I put on my bike and I am very happy with the handling. The tire sticks well on dry and actually reasonably good on wet pavement as well. Treadlife is probably average, but I do get a lot more than 2800 miles on mine. The price/quality ratio is hard to beat.

Had never heard of the tires, but was told they were every bit as good as Dunlop 404's that I have run for years. Hoping for better tire life than 404s (ride 2 up most of the time), but for now, I can honestly say now that they grab the pavement just as well in the mountain roads.

I put this rear tire on a 2001 Kawasaki Concours, and so far am happy with it. It is a great price. It seems to be a good performer so far, I was looking to save a few dollars this time around and will have to wait for a little warmer weather to really test the cornering. I have about 600 miles on this tire so far, and have ridden in the rain a bit. I am very happy with the wet road traction. Hopefully soon I'll get to see how they really perform on dry roads.

I bought the 230 tour master because my customers have asked me in the past what I think of shinko tires. Well I said I have never ridden one so before I set out on my trip to Daytona Biketoberfest I installed one on the rear of my 89 electraglide. I broke it in on 350 miles of wet roads and pouring rain. It was a little slick at first but I managed to keep it on the road. 2000 miles now and I am really pleased so far. For the price I can sell the hell out of this tire.

I bought this tire hoping to get the matching set all at once but the front tire has been out of stock at the time of this review so I cannot attest to the set together. The rear tire is a good tire if you are looking for a cheap stable tire and use the bike as a daily rider which I did. I gave it a 3 in the tread life because I caught a wood screw near the side wall so it is Finished!
