The camera is light and has great picture but it stops recording at random times and I have done the most recent update-V2.39.

Bought the Hero 3 Silver Edition and received a non working camera. Took almost a month before I received a replacement from GoPro. The camera would not accept the new firmware update. New camera works fine, but a very frustrating ordeal to deal with when buying a quality item.

The Hero 3 Silver I ordered arrived in working order. The picture quality was good except in poor lighting situations. My disappointment is not so much with the Hero 3 unit but with the supplied battery. The unit could not run more than about 20 minutes even directly after charging. I had ordered an additional battery & this provided in excess of 2 hours recording on same settings. As I left for an extended trip overseas soon after receiving the unit, the faulty battery is a real drag.

I have used this product for skydiving and on my motorcycle. 1080p FHD rocks. Only problem is with user guide, it is useless.

This product and accessories do not come with user manuals, the downloads are impossible to retrieve.
