Most chains come with a film of oil or grease, if you use this product, I would suggest cleaning chain in gas/thinner to eliminate all oil grease from it (let dry) then apply, let sit a while before riding, Best to have new chain off the bike before applying PJ1, then put on the bike! Cleaning will make sure there will be limited/no sling, PJ1 may not stay on an oily or greased or silicon-ed chain! It's that easy, after first application you can spray it on chain as you turn the rear wheel in neutral while on a bike lift! Stay safe riding!

This stuff is great. First time I applied, I didn't let it settle long enough and rode too hard and it flinged a little.
Now I know to wait 10 minutes after applying, then drive slowly 10-15 mph through the neighborhood for 5 mins to let the lube work its way into all crevices of the chain. Then I let it sit for another 10 minutes and it's ready to ride like normal.
This stuff is great, buy it now.

Proper application, a warm chain, the bike on a stand, rubber glove lined with a used rag ready for disposal, spraying the lube down through the bottom of the chain (towards the ground below the swingarm), wiping and cleaning the chain as each section is lubed. All excess lube (and dirt) is wiped from side plates, chain is then checked for proper adjustment, adjusted if required and ready for my next ride.

Flings a bit, but what doesn't if it's any good. I find anything that doesn't fling a bit doesn't work well enough.
Works GREAT...Recommended

This stuff lubes and cleans the chain very well. STAYS ON the chain, after it is applied and dries this lube clings to the chain. Great for offroad riding.

I used this product on my trip from Auburn, California to Washington D.C., carried the small can in my saddle bags. My 2011 Shadow RS has an o-ring chain with recommended chain lube at 500 miles, this stuff worked great and worked well even with chain lube being applied every three days, or about 850-900 miles.

Easy to apply. Works well. The stream is small and focused, and you can lube the chain without getting lube everywhere. In my experience, there is a lot of fling, contrary to what it says on the can and a lot of the reviews here. I would recommend it but I wish I didn't have to scrub down my rear wheel after every post lube ride.
