This is actually my second one I bought it as a back up or just to have because motorcycle superstore had an unbelievable sale price I couldn't pass up. My original Q2 works great. Me and a buddy ride all the time and use them with no problems, love it.

    Love it

The first use my friend and I used on a trip. He didn't like it, because they are interfering with each other. Now, I use my lone. I only use with my telephone and listen to Pandora and GPS. I have no problem with hearing and the person can hear me very well and they don't hear any air at an estimate 80+mph. The system needs the mount for half helmets.

    BEEP

I bought the Q2 Pro for a trip from WA to central CA. The installation was pretty straight forward, and the battery power and FM radio lasted pretty much one 9 hour day. My problem with this item is that the FM radio makes a BEEP-ing sound. The rate at which it BEEPs and when it BEEPs makes no sense? I thought it was a Battery low signal but when I charged it up it still BEEPed and still BEEPs to this day. Very annoying.

Bike-to-bike comm works well if close together. Out of sight-out of range. If other bike has sync with two units (i.e. passenger and you)cant reach them if they are switched to their passenger. They have to switch back to u before u can talk. Switching seems funky at times. Placement of speakers VERY important to hear well.

    Very happy

This is my third Scala Rider product. My only quibble is that the volume (I guess the speakers) isn't high enough, so I have to use it at full blast to hear something. Perhaps in my helmet (Shoei RF1100 Enigma) the location is too far from the ears, but they should have more volume. On my bike (BMW S1000RR at highway speeds - 80+, forget about hearing anything). Other than that, the unit is compact, looks good, easy to install, very water resistant, battery lasts long, etc. Good unit.

    Good, but not great

I ordered this unit just before i went on a 5,000 KM trip to Atlantic Canada. Save yourself the hassle and order the wired mic kit with it if you are installing it in a full face helmet. Listening to AD2P audio or FM Radio will make the battery last around 5 ~ 6 hours max. I was surprised that this unit is not firmware upgradable. It doesn't use USB port for charging, which means you have to carry an extra adapter for charging. If i have to do it again, i might consider the G4 instead.

    Has to be reset

With what I know now after using the Q2 for 1 month I would have bought a G4 to begin with.
