These things are incredibly light. The batteries come with all the padding to make a perfect fit in your battery box. I've got 3 of them, one in my 2004 Honda VTX1300, one in my 2004 KTM 450 and one in my daughter's 2007 Ninja 500. All of them provide amazing starting power. I highly recommend this battery.
Is there anything in there?

After 4yrs my oem battery wouldn't hold charge. Did research on a few different brands and came to the conclusion that this was the battery I wanted. When I got it delivered I thought MCSS forgot to put the battery in the box. Upon opening the box it was there, this battery was so light as everyone said. Fitment was perfect, a little cheaper than oem battery, installation was easy.
About a month and so far, no problems

Could not believe how light it was when I received it. It truly felt as if there was nothing in the box. Installation wasn't too bad and starts are solid every time. Although it will have it's own rating, I also purchased the matching charger and it's a breeze to operate. You're either charging or storing, once you decide what you want to do; it's as simple as pushing a button. We'll see how long it will last and that will determine if I'll purchase again.

Easy to install, and super light. However, if you moto has ANY drain on the battery, and you commute, don't bother with these. They have no where near the capacity of a lead acid battery, and thus they will be discharged in a little over two weeks. Also, these are weak. It could barely turn over my FZ6.

As everyone has said, this battery is super light. I can't really give an opinion on battery drain as I live in FL, which means my bike rarely sits unused for more than 2 weeks. Starts up everytime. I've been happy so far.

I have one in both of my race bikes. One over a year. Bikes may sit a month or 2 between races. Always starts up without the use of a battery tender.

Purchased the battery for my k1600 GT. Rode for 2 hours using heated gear, ie heated jacket and gloves. Got on the bike after a break and my bike wouldn't start. Turned off all the gear and started right up. Called Shorai Customer Service, they upgraded my battery(for a small charge) from the 21amp bat to their largest 36amp bat.

I received and installed my Shorai battery into my Yamaha FZ6 in early January 2013. The battery was charged, and showed good voltage. I went on a long ride, and parked it until Feb. In the middle of Feb, the FZ6 would still power up no problem, and was ridden a few times. Now, in the beginning of March, it's a no-go. The battery is totally dead, showing 1.6V on the meter, making it not quite three weeks since the last ride. Charging system on the moto is in perfect working order.

My first Lithium battery appeared almost dead after leaving it on store for 6 months. However, after calling the mfg. they informed me that some times the battery goes to sleep after sitting on store for a long time. So, I went back to the bike and cycled between hitting the starter and letting it sit for a minute and after about 6 tries it came back to life and started right up.
