For the 09-10 R1 you still have to splice into the wires. I would not buy this kit if you have 09-10 R1

For whatever reason they include adapters for both the R1 and R6 in this kit. I have an R6 and the wiring adapter was worthless! It still uses the t-tap connectors just like the generic adapter that comes with the alarm. The one minor thing you gain is bullet connectors for the ground wire ... which you can get at Radio Shack for $1.50. If you've got an R1 you should be good though. The R1 adapter in this kit had factor connectors and no t-taps.

Saved me a ton of time installing my alarm, and it's nice and compact, so it doesn't get in the way.
Definitely worth picking up, had to wait for it to get in stock, but I don't regret it at all.

Definitely worth buying with the Scorpio alarm. The alarm comes with a "universal harness" that t-taps into your bikes existing wiring. Nobody likes to hunt around for the right colors and cut into their bike's wiring. This connector kit plugs right in. Installation takes minutes and all you have to worry about it where to mount the components. If you are going to spend the money on a premium alarm like the Scorpio, spend the bit of extra cash to install it right with this kit. I gave it a 3 on the cost benefit because it should come with the alarm system to begin with.

This kit makes the installation way easier than having to cut the wires, and for only 20 bucks its way worth it!!!
