Went one tooth down on my ‘09 R6, (stock ‘09 R6 has a 525 chain) easy install and the bike is alive now. Great cheap mod. This will jack up your mph and increase your mileage without a speedo healer, but it's still worth it in my opinion.

So far no complaints. Dropped a tooth in my front sprocket to pick up a little more bottom end, and has been doing great!
