Mesh Tex Pants

Joost (Houston TX, TX)

Ok-ish

I guess the pants are ok for the price, but 2 inches short when riding on sport-tour bike. The plastic knee protectors are not so flexible and start to push on your kneecaps to where you have to constantly shift them to save your knees after 150+ miles. Will not buy the pants again. The jacket is excellent.

HT Overpants

Steve (Randolph, NJ)

An excellent pant for riding

I bought these because my first, and many years old, pair of HT Pants wore out. The new version had many pleasant improvements notably easy to access pockets. Only one ride so far in the new pair but in 40 degree weather I was toasty and improved liner and liner fastening had my legs warm with no draft up my leg. These pants do order to size in my experience.

Kathmandu Overpants

Raul (Cuernavaca, TX)

Confortable, and weather proff

I have used them at extreme hot at Baja, and then I take them to ski at Ruidoso (yes instead of winter pants) and not disappointed with quality and weather proof. The only one is the fit, because I am at Levi´s 38, and 38 is a little bit close, but two beers least and they fit Ok.

HT Overpants Shell

Overpants vs. Seattle

I'm 6'2 @ 310lbs and the 48's fit comfortably. They're easy to put on and take off. The kneepads sag a lot more than I'd like, but I only notice when I walk around; when I sit on the bike they pull up to where I want them over the knee. Not sure what the pads will do when I need them the most but right now I'm dry and comfortable.

HT Air Overpants

Love the high zipper

The reason I bought these pants is because I wanted some that would zip up high enough so that I could step into and out of them with boots on. I haven't had a chance to use them much yet but they should be a great pant.

TPG Escape Pants

Robert (Hoxie, AR)

TPG Pants

On my first day wearing my new pants, the little slide fastener popped off and is to be repaired/replaced by FirstGear. They match my FirstGear coat and are waterproof, enough so that I'll not have to pack a rainsuit on any trips. I've ridden with only the outer pant in temp down into the upper thirties as well as high as 80 degrees and neither froze nor burned up in them. I've ridden them all day in the rain and remained dry and warm!
