Ok first of all this is a great looking helmet we all agree. It's kinda short around the neck line compared to others I've had but it will do. The chin strap cuts into my Adam's Apple on my throat. It should mount to the sides of the helmet about an inch farther forward on each side. They also need to do away with the fancy clip and put the standard double D rings on it.

Fit runs larger than most. My head size was exactly on the division between small and medium. So I went with medium at first but as the foam broke in it became way too loose. Swapped for a small and the snug fit broke in to fit perfectly. The visor/brim/peak has very little lift at higher speeds unless you turn your head, even then it is manageable. Looks good and ventilates well.

I just did a 300+ mile day trip. There was some cross wind buffeting and noise but nothing excessive. At twice the price this is a deal. It fit true to size for me. All my Shoei helmets are size L and AFX 39DS L fit perfectly. It's not a Shoei, but it's well worth the price.

After about 3 months i found that the visor mechanism had broken because it was made of a cheap plastic.Just last week my helmet took a little spill off of my seat on my bike and landed on the front of the face vent and SPLIT THE HELMET DOWN THE MIDDLE!Also the chin strap snapped in the mechanism .I would not recommend this helmet ever to anyone

This is my 2nd AFX FX-39 DS Helmet!!! Cheap enough you don't have to worry about it falling or getting scratched up, yet the peripheral vision from this thing is AMAZING! I will never go back to a regular helmet again!

Great helmet, the quick release is a little uncomfortable but is handy. You also loose a spot to attach it to a helmet lock on the bike. Great styling, mostly comfortable, have purchased 2 of them so I would definitely recommend :)

I was in the market for a new helmet and was considering Shoei and Arai. I ended up buying the AFX based on the positive reviews. The fit and finish of the helmet are in my opinion as good as the more expensive brands. I spent the money I saved on a plane ticket to Colorado for a fall Rocky Mountain dual-sport adventure. Thanks AFX for making a great helmet for an affordable price!

I've had the FX39 for almost a year now. Initially the padding was a little snug at the cheeks, that worked out over a month or two. Ventilation is OK in the summer. Insulation is good, even in cooler temps (I'll ride with temps in the 40s). Helmet seems a bit big & heavy compared to my Fly dirt helmet, but I got used to it. Fit & finish is great. Price was good. Shipping from MCS was superb.

Fits true to size, super light and great ventilation. I like the retention system for chin strap, it’s nice to be able to take off your lid with gloves on. I ride all year round in Chicago and I have a feeling this will be nice (compared to the old D-Ring retention systems) when my hands are numb. VERY LITTLE head buffeting from the sun visor. Cons: The visor shield only has 3 settings, closed, open, and half way. My glasses fit really high on my face because the cheek pads push to tight.

Great Helmet well made looks and fits great also has US DOT and ECE 22.05 Safty Rating. And for little more than a Benjamin Franklin cant go wrong...\m/
